Anonymous, 17 Sep 2020so the disc drive worth 100$ more? lmaoI pre ordered one. And yes, its worth it. It'll pay for itself over time because I wont be locked into only buying from Sony game store. I can buy physical copies from a ton of vendor for cheaper and more common sales.

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2020The $400 price is good. $100 more from Series S but you get... moreDon't buy your console just on the basis of teraflops itself,consider the fact that both have different ways in which they sell their games,xbox x and ps5 both have 500 dollar model with bluray capable of running 4k games while 400 dollar model has digital only with same power while xbox s has digital only 1080p - 1440p gaming(most likely 1080p) for 300 dollar but xbox also has xbox all access in their pocket(with ea play also included) so..... it's confusing

The $400 price is good. $100 more from Series S but you get full 10 TF instead of 6 TF on S that means Sony is willing to absorb some price to compete considering you get the same APU with same freaking fast storage. I honestly though it will be $429-450.

Got my phone after a year of its release to be sure of problems being solved, got my Ps4 after 2 years of its release and i was right because first Gen had serious problems... and the list for my devices goes on and on
will wait for Ps5 as well, and willl buy Digital Edition after a year or 2 to be with lowest amount of problems, Special Editions are just Show-Off

Anders, 17 Sep 2020So what advantages does this have over a PS4 Pro?New CPU architecture, better CPU, GPU, more and faster RAM, insane I/O with the SSD, a new thermal management system.
And for someone who frequents smartphone sites like this: USB C ALL THE THINGS.
A better controller with a lot of new functions, a better design (although that's subjective, but imo it's not even close), probably some other things I'm forgetting.
It's basically better in everything.

So even if you can play all your PS4 games on your PS5, it is possible that some might run into a small few problems. But it could very well be that all your games run just fine as well.
