It's an amazing phone that most people overlook.

That Chinese brands = Bad phone, less "show Off Value" mentality.

Chinese brands are ruling the rest of the roster.
They are right at the bleeding edge of innovation both in terms of Software & Hardware.

When i talked about brand, i meant image procesing, battery optimization and well enough built phone overall so you don't need to worry about overheating, device compatiblity, etc...
I am not saying that Oppo has issues with everything mentioned above, but i saw few that image procesing is behind flagship brands. Not by a lot, but it is behind.
Or i just prefer image procesing from other brands.

Ads can do wonders for sure. But it got to have some great success with mid range priced phones first, to be recognized at least.

        underrated and overprice

Qimchi, 21 Sep 2020Also slight continuation this is Oppo's Find series. I... moreNormally id agree with you, but no, 1400 is just way too much. I can get the first Galaxy Fold for that price. Heck i can even get the Galaxy FlipThom Browne edition with the watch and the buds at that price now.

I got the S20Ultra for about 1150 dollars and that is with a bundled galaxy buds+ (normally at 150dollars). If camera is your reference point I got my P40 pro for about 950dollars and that came with about 100dollars worth of freebies.

The truth is at that price range Find X2 pro was dead from the get go.

If it was the same innovation as the original Find X with the no cutout full screen, then id say MAYBE theres a chance. Even that original Find X was only 1000 dollars, and that was a really eyecatching unique phone. But the X2pro what justifies the jump in price?

I'm coming from a Samsung S9+ and I considered myself before a Samsung fan. My contract ended and I was browsing the market for an upgrade. I was offered the same monthly plan with the same price for the Oppo FX2 pro as on my previous contract with the S9+. The alternative was the vanilla S20 for the same price. The S20+ or the S20 Ultra was (and still is) being offered at an astronomical price and in my opinion the FX2 offers more than the vanilla S20, so I went with it.
About the marketing: they offered a B&O Bluetooth headphones bundled with it worth £300. So I don't care too much about the missing headphone jack. Btw, I bought a cheapo Type-c to jack dongle just out of curiosity and it's perfect for me.
And oh boy am I happy with the Fx2 pro! The user experience is just much better for me vs Samsung. Maybe because I've only owned the Exynos versions, not sure what would have been the performance with Snapdragon.
I don't think I will ever fully utilize the 512GB storage, or if yes, than there is the cloud. I've also changed my habit of charging the battery overnight. By the time I get ready in the morning it's already at 100%. For me it is a good value for money.
              Has ok battery life
              Has super quick charge
Couldn't find an option yet what a Samsung offered as extra for my usecase.
              Has stereo speakers
Gorgeous screen with high refresh rate at full res
              Good camera
Haven't had a single lag since using it for about a month (and yes, it receives regular updates)

P40 pro Ultrawide is a joke. Good quality but a joke in terms of the main purpose of the Ultrawide. Video has weird artifacts. No portrait lens. No play see, locked bootloader, etc.

It's underrated since it isn't available everywhere and expensive for most people.

That's a true flagship killer. Super fast, jack, IR, full screen, 5G, latest SOC, good battery.
And that's a very underrated smartphone.
