Google is so high right now
First the gave a mid range chipset
Then they omitted the telephoto, its been 3 years since they haven't changed the main camera, this year this ohobe is going to struggle in vamera department, no improvement in display, the only good thing i can think of as a real improvement is battery which is also not really large, google soon will stop manufacturing phones

Exyvia, 23 Sep 2020Yes compared to Nord, are you implying phones made in China... moreAlthough it is costler than Nord. There are a few things that pixel will offer over Nord.
        *Wireless charging
        *Reverse wireless charging
        *IP rating
*3 years of updates instead of 2 in Nord
        *Dual stereo speakers

Don't compare two phones on the basis of chipset alone.

It almost sounds like a 5a and not a flagship 5 - except the price is once again too high for what is essentially a solid midranger.

I'll go with the 4a then.

Hope they offer trade-in since there is no way to sell the pixel 4 for any money...so much money many people wasted on the pixel 4, it's just sad.

No excuse for not having wide/ultrawide/telephoto if you're using sensors as cheap as those - that's a big no to start with.
Add to that the price, old fashioned fingerprint sensor, low resolution display and poor SOC youve got a very expensive £600 phone.
If the Pixel 4 XL had a fingerprint sensor it would be the one to buy but that's also a flawed device.
                    Google blows it again.

Chris, 23 Sep 2020Finally a solid and balanced phone with a reasonable perfor... moreDecent specs, price is a little high but would expect that from Google. Stereo speaks will consume power therefore 4500mah would be better especially with a 90 Hz screen, although if you can turn it down then it's okay I suppose.

Telephoto lens would be nice, but the wide angle is much more usable. For me it is a good decision. A lot of people make some party and indoor pictures where tele lens has no appliance.
The device's specs are great, the price for the US and Western market is OK too.
Of course it will be hard to compete with devices such as One + Nord or Xiaomi Mi 10 lite 5g, but the dimensions of the Pixel are huge advantage for some people like me, who are really frustrated of those 6,7 inch shovels.

Exyvia, 23 Sep 2020Yes compared to Nord, are you implying phones made in China... moreOf course, I'm implying that (at least for me). Mediocre cameras (except for Huawei's flagships, which are expensive too), questionable UIs (except for OnePlus), concerning privacy (I know every company is able to 'spy' on you, but I prefer them to be in democratic soil), high spec's that don't correlate with user experience, etc.

I wish it was a telephoto instead. I'm still on the fence about this one.

Make this 6.7-7.0" with SD865+ shouldn't be more than $800

Aaaaaaand same camera sensor sice 2017 .... so what reason do I have to upgrade?
The only reason I can think of is more Android upgrades to come ... and that is the weakest excuse I have ever heard.
