Windows Phone 8 will use a new Kernel for the OS. Windows Phone 7 and 7.5 is still using the Windows CE Kernel. Thus, a deeper integration between Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 (Pro and RT). While Windows Phone 7 and 7.5 will need Zune to communicate with Windows 8...

I CAN whatch youtube videos in my browser, and I can surely lock my network data connection to a single data transfer technology and i think i can do it faster and easier than you. :) plus, i don't need a quad core cpu to run my OS choppy and laggy.

the only difference between wp8 and wp7.8 is the hardware support(support for microSD, multi-core cpu's and stuff like that).. you get everything what wp8 gets but you can't get dual-core cpu with a software update obviously... you'll still get all the apps except some (mostly games) that just won't be able to run on the weaker hardware... that would be like running diablo III on pentium II

y is that in every nokia/MS related articles it always flooded and mostly it's has the longest comment threads, sadly from the android camp, and insisting the nokia-android devices,,, could this only mean they still craving for the finnish brand...
When compare to that of android related articles it seems untouched/unnoticed.

I love the Lumia phones, but I really have NO reason to buy one when it is guaranteed to be outdated in a couple of months.
I'm sure a lot of people felt this way.
Hence the Q2 result.

AnonD-56268, 20 Jul 2012nokia should stay with its own OS , if nokia goes the ... moreMany might disagree but I think nokia should have picked up ubuntu as its OS. This would have had it cut costs in development of a new OS and have gotten it next to 0 cost as ubuntu is free. Ubuntu already has the software center and the the new unity looks at par with any touch screen os out there. It already has millions of applications and is a rock solid OS. It would provide alot more functionality and since it doesnt run on java it would solve alot of memory related problems as with android(dont get me wrong but I love android but just wish it wouldnt have gone the java path due to ram requirements)

Still can't wait for a Nokia WP8 this fall. Nokia's in a tough transition now, but I can't wait to get a new Windows Surface Pro, WP8 and hopefully next year the new Xbox with Smart Glass. 2013 is going to be a good year.
