I'm a WP7 Nokia 800 user, & I can see this device & OS has a lot of potential. I hope to see a big change in WP8, the interface UI is really nice to use.

Bring on some kick-ass handset baby. . . And as you have put yourself in line of fire by choosing an October date. . You better know that nothing less than spectacular will do the job against the much OVER HYPED i5. But as a Nokia fan am sure if any one can do it..its you. Go for it baby

When WP8 phone will come it will be the end of the Android, Symbian and BlackBerry ios.
Who manages to survive the WP8 phone is just Apple with its iPhone.

The first Windows Phone 8 that Nokia will be releasing is definitely not going to be a PureView Windows Phone. That's not gonna happen until mid-2013. Nokia already confirmed it. It will take a year to port PureView to Windows Phone.

Windows phone 8 should come along with a Galaxy S3 like device from Samsung.. Samsung can do this easily, but Microsoft does not want to make it happen as it doesn't want to deviate people's attention from Lumia phones to Samsung's Super AMOLED phones. Microsoft's first aim is to serve its new baby Nokia..:P Galaxy S3 like phones having Windows phone 8 will definitely come later...

So with the WP8 that has an all new kernel and everything. So much better than WP7.x.
WinPhone shoutld take at least 90% of the MobileOS market before the end of 2012?
As the WP7.x was to take 20% by 2016 and that was just a version of the 1996 vintage WinCE and so much better than WinMo.

So in other words, Microsoft and Nokia will be trying to get some buzz at the very moment when the iPhone 5 is most likely to be sucking all of the oxygen out of the mobile phone publicity world?

                        Well played, Microsoft!

                        Well played, Nokia!

That probably won't work out as well as you hope.
