The only comparable 16:9 phone today is Huawei Mate 10. I've been using it for 2 years as I hate narrow and tall "sausage" aspect ratio.
My vision is not the greatest so I prefer to have larger icons and use larger fonts and it works fantastic with Mate 10. Besides, it had all day 4000 may battery, headphone jack, fingerprint reader / button on the bottom front, microSD slot and very fast processor. I wish phone manufacturers start looking back at 16:9 as many people would welcome this.

Oh, what memories... Had this phone back in 2014-15, it was indeed amazing for multimedia consumption and served perfectly as GPS for car. But after about 1 year of using it the screen started to burn in quite a lot around corners. So I went with the smaller, but much cooler then - the LG G2...

I had a samsung mega 6.3 until just recently...I ended up having to purchase a new phone because many of the apps would not update because my os was too old...the play store kept saying that my phone was not compatible...so I went with the note 10+ 5g...even though the mega was big and bulky it was awesome to watch movies and videos on...I really miss my mega!!

i am proudly share that i am still actively using it, and i am thankful for such phone like this
- i put 128 gb memory card
- the audio is superb
- still playing mp4 and mkv without any trouble
- i maintain Android 4.4.2, i dont update
- i feels slow now and frequently restarting the WhatsApp
- no more update from Goigle Play, its understandable, its 2013 device
- no more original battery with nfc, i lost the nfc

Phones like these make me wish Razer was coming out with a 3rd phone with the same aspect ratio, 2K IGZO with 120Hz refresh rate, powerful speakers, bigger battery...*sighs...a 16:9 ratio phone needs to come out soon...

I remember a friend who do own mega which is unwieldy as f*ck.
I remember it can't be casually pocketed on account of its overall size.
But its also nice as it is wide unlike current crop of narrow screen. Reading comicbook and browsing in that wider screen is nice compared all the wasted estate on current narrow screen.

Yes i also miss these phones whichs comes with actual big size as tall and wide not only tall i prefer 16.9 its better for gaming and reading.

I was blown away when my phone got split screen multitasking by nougat update. But wow it existed way before then !

I still has this phone in my collection & it's still working, though i no longer use it as a phone but as paper weight... best of all it still uses the original battery that come with the phone since day 1..
It gets Kit Kat updates though, which is a surprise.

Tall narrow screens are awful in absolutely every respect except (low) cost (relative to diagonal measurement) and marketing (large diagonal fools people). Hate them.

how i wish the 16:9 ratio comes back. it is quite dumb that slimmer phones is necessary for one hand use. who types on the keyboard with one hand? the tall phones recently don't really have larger displays than these phablets

I'd love something like Nokia 8 Sirocco.
But flat screen and front speakers.
It is 5,5" 16:9 but only 14cm tall.
It is 1cm shorter than S7 Edge.

Man, I remember the mega. It was so big back then, but now it would be borderline small. Crazy how form factor has changed in such a short time.

Back in 2013/14 i owned a Z Ultra, with their 179mm tall, even bigger than actual phones...everyone looks at it.
Shame they dont have any flash on the back, eighter a dual speakers...if they have both i never have sell it.
I love that device for sure, was a big big phone in all ways.
