I don't think HTC fully understands their situation: the people who have not switched over to Samsung or any other manufacturer is sticking by them based on product loyalty alone--This is what is keeping them alive at the moment. The ONE series isn't selling as well as they had hoped and people are buying Samsung products instead. LYING to whatever is left of your loyal customers about how the DHD is not capable of running ICS/SENSE 4 is going to bite you in the ass soon

Just can't believe it. Other HTC phone with same CPU and gpu can why it can't. I think they are bluffing.

Also my HTC Glacier (myTouch 4G/Panache) is stuck on gingerbread while a lower spec Xperia Ray/Neo/Neo V/Arc/et cetera from Sony (Ericsson) get ICS update (same CPU/GPU but the Glacier has 768 MB of RAM VS 512 of RAM on those SE phones). Based on my software experience with the Glacier & Amaze, I cannot recommend HTC phones to other people unless there are huge sales for HTC phones.

How could a lower-spec Desire V and a much lower-spec Desire C run Sense 4 & ICS, but a Desire HD cannot? I personally have the Amaze that has a much better specification than both the Desires V & C, ~ on par with Asian version of One S; yet, my Amaze is stuck on Sense 3.6. Unless I get a super deal on HTC phone, I'll never buy another HTC phone again. HTC software support is awful.

[deleted post]just being more costly doesnt make s3 a better phone than one x. Infact htc one x is far better in terms of build quality and aesthetics. Its not fair to be comparing htc dhd with s3, you have toattly lost it there. Its not about the quadcore tegra3 or the s4 krait , one x too has a dual core krait version of it. It doesnt have much of a difference on real life application other than having bragging rights on benchmark scores(If thats what you are into). Theres one thing that I do agree upon being a dhd owner htc made a very bad decision by making us wait.

If htc did this to make their customers buy a new smartphone, they did it right... but the problem is thatthe customers never buy htc again. If they fail to upgrade HTC DHD they are doomed!

This seems to be a "sense ui" issue not a ics issue. Why do people even like "sense"

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2012guys serves you right for going for first android then htc ... moreWe will but that screen is too small. And UI that Apple hasn't change much since 2007 when they show it for the first time. Only folders and "multitasking" was a big difference.

AnonD-54111, 22 Jul 2012You know Samsung is not the best device. You are all blinde... moreSamsung it's the best brand I had an HTC desire hd and it was a great phone but now I bought an Samsung galaxy s3 and here I see the different between HTC and Samsung. Samsung is something else something really cool and performance. HTC is good just when you buy it but after 6 months or when you get a new update it become laggy, slow , it turns off it self , worst battery etc so mine was lime that I don't know for the others but this phone was good just when I bought it . I changed with Samsung because there performance are pretty good and better than HTC. Me , I live in Canada and here we have Samsung galaxy s3 US version and it's better than HTC onex and it cost a lot more than HTC onex so Samsung offer better performance than HTC. Ok you gonna tell me that HTC has quad-core but the dual-core of Samsung is better than the quad-core of HTC so in this case I bought a Samsung and no HTC and sorry for my English

What?? I've been expecting the update anxiously for 2 months and now this? If they put it on the list, then update it! But now all my hopes turned to dust after months of excitement. Seriously disappointed... Shame on you htc... I really like this brwnd otherwise :/
