    Good article, thank you! :-)

I would never buy a mediocre camera, a punched display, a mediocre battery life, a mediocre sound quality at this price. I hope companies get back to their senses before loosing even more credibility.

Rareart1, 04 Oct 2020Agreed - however, at some point- they will be accurate and ... moreThey won't be bad anymore when they are as fast and accurate as the traditional fingerprint sensors.

Waited until the new pixel phones were released to buy my first one,
The 4a does not appeal and the 5 and 4a 5G are expensive and having 5G is a wasted feature as it took two years for 4G to arrive after it was launched where I live in outback country, 5G sub6 may arrive in the distant future and 5G mm Wave no chance,
So decided on a pixel 4 128GB new and unlocked for about 450 GBP
a major price reduction and the 4a not a lot cheaper at this price,
Looking forward to the pixel experience.

L.O.R.D, 04 Oct 2020How can you guess the iPhone 12 Mini dimensions ? (131 mm) optimistic guess. a 5.4" screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio would be 125mm tall. with a flat frame the phone should be no taller than 133mm and no wider than 65mm.

Software is the most important thing in a smartphone. Guess you don't understand that.
I take less time in a pixel to make most common tasks. Guess you only see what specs says. that's not very smart, choosing a phone. I feel sad for people that only see phones by their specs.

I love google products even with some issues. I have pixel 4xl and cannot understand why it is considered to be failure. Never had any serious problem with that phone. Originally I had doubts about facial recognition, but you must get used to it and then it is quite addictive. Do not plan to buy pixel 5 as 5g is going to be in my country next year and it is not significant upgrade for me from the point of connectivity and other features. I hope pixel 6 will have also some unique practical hardware feature or google extends some regionally limited features of pixel android and/or android generally also to more countries.

Pixel5Sucks, 04 Oct 2020Does the fact that it doesn’t need a SD865 change the fact ... moreThe OnePlus Nord with 6.5 inch FHD 90 hz amoled and 6 cameras and sd 765 is still just 350 here compared to Pixel which will be at least 750 if it arrives here. Now the OnePlus doesn't have wireless charging, aluminium body or waterproofing, but that isn't worth the extra 400

I know about you now but physical fingerprint reader slams in-display in terms of battery and accuracy/dependability every day of the week. I certainly prefer the physical one and hope at least Sony keeps it on their next flagships.

Only one didn't have the newest android os, but that was just for performance reasons(1gb of ram). One was by samsung and the other one was by xiaomi. The i9300 had modified oem software installed the longest (1 year), kenzo lost the factory software within the month. Now i have poco f1 and it lost it's factory software within 2 days after purchase. My mom has a nokia 5, but is still on nougat/oreo, yet there is an update to at least pie if not 10. Fact is people want a working device, yet updating by not making a clean install leaves holes for crashing apps. No one cares if it's the latest and greatest, we care if we can use it like we did yesterday.
