I know samsung flagships don't sell like hot cakes, but I'm surprised a brand new galaxy S couldn't even sell more than 6.7 millions (lowest number in the chart for reference) in the launch's initial 3-4 months

They have the worst choice of phones to choose from.
And people are locked by the carrier system where only popular phones aka phones available on All carriers sell the most.
And with the increasing amount of brands being banned, there is a scarcity of 200-300$ phones which just work without any hassles. This is why these US reviewers can't stop orgasming over Nord, Pixel and iPhone SE.

Just like Most people don't need to buy the most expensive car to travel from one place to another.
An average car gets the job done.
Android is the OS of choice on smartphones and much superior to iOS as represented by the 80% marketshare.
All I can offer you is a box of tissues so that you can wipe your tears after the brutal beating that Apple took in the smartphone and PC war, both of which Apple lost.

Apple alone owns over 50% of over $400 phones. Which pretty much shows when people are able to buy more expensive phones their first choice is iPhone. Everytime when Apple release cheaper phone they will get more of the market because more people can afford one.

Little Wily you are just frustrated that your 1000 dollar purchase isn't the most technically advanced while being handicapped instead.
Like a handicapped guy watching someone run, they are simply jealous.
Nothing wrong with stating how our android devices are, especially with all latest cutting edge tech. Combined with a superior ecosystem of apps, Just stating facts... Sorry if I touched a nerve... I Guess what I said is true.

Even no phone from Huawei like P40 or even P30 Pro. Ironically, even Nokia is again going to the wrong direction. They did not sport 3.5mm Jack in their PureView 9 model. What a shame.

Agree. Not a Single So-Called Flagship Phones. No S20, No Oppo Find X2, No OnePlus 8 or so. This happens when you ditch 3.5mm Jack for no reason and still think that common man is fool and they will rush to buy your phone without basic features and spend 100s of $$$s into keep buying connector or Bluetooth Earpods. Even if someone is buying earpods, they are buying Apple one and not the one from Samsung, Oppo or OnePlus. I am happy to see this actually.

Only few models per year and all of them are in the flagship price range. And people are not usually bying flagships. They are usually buying some more budget friendly devices, if we talk about android.
Therefore, the fact that samsung flagships are not on the "most popular sold phones" list doesn't indicate that samsung (or any android phone company) flagships are worse than apple devices.

But hiding V making up numbers is a different conspiracy story. But I can't imagine any Android phone with no GMS, no Visa/Mastercard support is going to do well in most developed countries, regardless of the brand.

Besides iPhone 11 with 720p display doesn't qualify as flasghip just Coz of flagship processor.

So the share of Huawei non GMS phones are propably really low. Would be actually interesting to hear, but that data have never came and we know why. Huawei want to tell that.
