Just because you aren't aware of the quality of games out there on phones right now and the level of complexity and graphics available in those games, doesn't mean they don't exist and that there is no need a for a gaming phone. I have a OnePlus 7T, which hardware wise is as more powerful as Rog Phone 2, but it overheats after like 10 mins if I play any of those games at 60 fps in high settings, which doesn't happen to the Rog Phone because of better cooling and other optimisations.

Say the one who have absolutely no idea how smartphones camera work, a little info for you, the ONLY app that can use 100% of the smartphone camera potential is the one provided with it, regardless how good/bad the app is, you'd need an app specially designed for each phones in order to enable anything else than using the main camera at default settings.
I have a gaming PC, and I use its extra power for more than just gaming, when I code I am happy it can compile quickly, when I run virtual machines I am happy it have lot of RAM, when doing any kind of rendering or using 3D softwares I am happy it have a powerful graphic card.
The idea of "it is a gaming phone, therefor it should only be good at gaming" is the stupidest thing out there.
I don't even want gaming on my smartphone, gaming smartphones are just the only one who provide good features/design.
I'd pay extra to have a phone that match my desires.

Seriously ? So where is my Pop up + 3D facial recognition + ultrasonic FPS phone then ?
Where is my phone without front camera ?
Where is my phone with 12Mp+ Wide, 16Mp+ Ultrawide, 8Mp+ Portrait, 8Mp+ Macro, 12Mp+ ToF ?
Where is my phone with tactile display on the sides AND flat main display ?
Imagine a gaming PC that is bad at running other softwares, it would be amazingly stupid, it is like saying we should either have a large and underpowered car that struggle to get uphill or a Supercar that have no room for more than 2 and little trunk and no other options in between.
There isn't any choices, all phones are the same, too many with curved display, almost all with notches and holes, they are all more or less the same with minimum changes between each others, I've said that for months and this is exactly what LG said too when presenting the LG Wing.
I love how peoples like you who are the one complaining about any idea/suggestions peoples make and therefor are literally enforcing a single design option are also the one saying "the world doesn't revolves around you", because you have many phones matching your tastes while pestering at peoples who ask for mode diversity in order to have something matching their own.
That's because of peoples like you that there is no diversity, lack of innovation and slow improvements in the smartphone market.

android games are weak SO after awesome performance of windows on arm (surface pro x),the only solution to take advantage of this high specs is release "arm windows gaming phone".

sure it lacks some of the frills/sensors/whatever that "camera centric" flagships have, but even so the quality is absolutely good.
If you want the best camera stuff -> there will be 3-4 phones out there which are for you. You want airtriggers or great speakers, well.. there's kindof only ROG (at least with a decent stock rom).

Qualcomm can manage the SOC Optimization and Asus can manage the other Software bits. Both can pitch in for design. Besides, Qualcomm can include its own tech in various components from QC 5 to ultrasonic FP.

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2020I don't understand why people still whining about how ... moreA very good thing about the gaming phones is they offer little bezels to hold the phone without accidental touches and also "DUAL FRONT FIRING" speakers which are very useful for media consumption. none of the so called flagships offers suchthing and as a bonus they disturb the screen with notices and punch holes.

Hopefully this happens in the next 10 years.
IBM and Samsung have already made processors with Graphene Transistors which clock upto 400Ghz in initial tapeout.
