@ Yanb so does that include Samsung as well as they shafted all the original i9000 customers for ice cream sandwich, who really made them where they are now or we forgetting about that?

I agree with those who say no more Sony or LG. Only brands who care for their customers... A software update always gives you more value for money spend.. All of us should remember this. I am jealous of people having their devices updated. Next time i am on the market or any friend needs advice, i will consider this very much

My mom bought SE Xperia Ray last May. Sadly, no Jelly Bean :( BTW, its still running on Gingerbread. :(

Not only 4.1 JB, but the promised 4.0 ICS update also seems to have stalled for the Xperia Pro phones. Update have been released for some Sales Items in May and June. My phone's Sales Item update is not one of those. No updates have been released in July.

LG optimus 2x speed will be getting the ICS update. This has been mentioned many times. Time after time people get dissapointed due to a single rumor.
After time LG will make a statement.

sony doesnt want to update their xperia 2011 line up because they want to buy other new expensive xperia phones that will have the new android JB which is to disappointing very much.

I am a LG P970 Optimus Black owner, it is very frustrating to hear this kind of news. I've been waiting for this ICS upgrade but it seems it will not going to happen anymore. I wont recommend buying LG Phones as an option if that is the case. too bad :(

Sony acts rubbishly,why they make phones if they don't get an update. this is the worst thing about Sony. First they promise, then they make some excuses that no upgrade will be released for specific phones.
SONY DON'T MAKE SUCH LOW PHONES THAT THEY WONT GET ANY UPDATE OR MAKE YOUR PHONES GOOD ENOUGH TO RECEIVE UPDATES.

PC Suite does indeed suck! If you have bugs and are fed up of waiting for updates, just go custom romming.

My last phone from LG is optimus 2x,never an LG phone in future. Too many bugs and they dont update, not to mention how bad their pc suite is.

And it will get another update, it will go from WP7.5 to W7.8.
Sony refuses to update their Android 4.0 to Android 4.1.
LG just doesn't bother at all.
At least the Microsoft phones are undergoing a major architectural change (hardware-wise), and even if the current models cannot run the upcoming WP8 they do still get updates (not only to WP7.8 but within that family of OS, should anything happen).
What can you say about the Android manufacturers?
Well, they just don't update because they don't want to. They make up excuses that should come as an insult to anyone with half a brain. Ultimately they aren't even consistent, you see the latest low-end phones sporting worst hardware than last years top-models, still this years low-ends get the very latest OS while last year phones (despise having better hardware and being fully compatible with the OS) may not.
That is the difference between WP and Android.
Should anything happen with the Android OS that requires a general phone update, you are screwed by your manufacturer.
In the WP world, despite being impossible to run the upcoming WP8 (due to hardware restricting, not BS made-up ones), your phone is still being supported and updated in it's branch.

Mate the value of your brand is overrated, apple people created a VIP status for the phone! Like the other day when a costumer enterd my store and bought an iphone 4s said to me " I don't know why I'm buying this, I only make calls and sms but in my company, when we have reunions If I have a different phone from the iPhone everybody looks at me with desaproval...so yes, I'm kinda buying this €599,90 for the satus" lol and this was not the only one...
