The only major flaw with the spec sheet is choosing to compromise battery, raw power and cost for the sake of 5G, hence using the disappointing, mediocre snapdragon 765G.
I would rather take a flagship 865 chip and regular 4G to balance the costs any day, making it a far more relevant and competitive device.

This phone would've been interesting at a $499 price point. The 4A should be $299.
I do love the return of the metal back and huge battery. I'm more fascinated in the iPhone 12 mini being announced today. I wanted the iPhone X in that size and three years later, we finally get it.

With this price tag and keeping the Soli chip at bay for the time being, Pixel 5 MUST be launched in India with some aggressive marketing. Google has been awful in marketing their phones here.
I've been a user of Phones by Google since Nexus 5 and whoever has used these phones loves it in every way..rough, tough, fluid operations..superb! But only a handful know about these phones. Original Accessories are not available anywhere in local markets.
And Google's "obsession" with white is extremely painful. Even with Pixel 5, the box accessories are in White. What's biting Google to offer accessories in Black colour? It took months for Google to realize dark mode saves power! Someone up there in Google is crazy white in his/her mind!!
Chip make and the highlight on its capabilities is just for marketing. My Pixel 2 XL Snapdragon 835 10nm platform installs apps like lightening! So 7nm platforms will definitely improve performance and whatever incremental improvement will be a treat for us.
Please Google, make Pixel 5 available in India NOW and offer the box contents in black colours. And yes...please show off your phones in the market...DAILY!. What is visible is what sells! You'll do good in Indian market.

hi there. there is factual error in your 2nd paragraph. You have mentioned "special recycled aluminum coating that feels really nice in-hand thanks to the textured finish" which is wrong. Recycled aluminum is the frame inside where else the coating is actually bio-resin(fancy name for plastic).
