Only RYYB custom sensors like IMX689 are exclusives.

Any how Night Sight Mode on IMX555/557 Would be fantastic, it would completely eliminate digital noise and would require lot less post processing for a clean output.

Will you guys post accurate results, or explain them? You said the max auto brightness mode of Pixel 4a was 803 nits or so, where others report 660-ish. I have an iPhone X (2017) that gets max 650 under manual control, and they are about same; Pixel isn't brighter. So how come you got panel lottery and got a much brighter display?

I am often surprised that people don't know this very simple relationship. No, you don't need to take into account the "gap" between the photodiodes. The "pixel size" already includes the "gap" between the photodiodes.

I have looked extensively, and have found ZERO evidence it makes any difference outside of benchmark scores, which are meaningless to real world usage. I would rather have a processor that is more than adequate but more energy efficient, like this one.

For laptops, people for clued in and realised you didn’t need to buy and Intel i7 as the technology matured, modern Intel i5’s are great and everyone is happy to buy there. Don’t believe the hype around flagship mobile processors, it’s all marketing BS, there is NO DIFFERENCE in day to day phone performance between mid tier and top end mobile chipsets in 2020

Lilian, 12 Oct 2020"Midrange segment"(hardware-wise) with flagship pricesWhat hardware would you say would feel midrange in day to day use? To me the build quality (gorilla glass 6, aluminium build), display (90hz panel that can run at full resolution, really bright), 5G, IP68, reverse wireless charging, among the best camera in the business, superb software and update speed, all seem flagship to me?

The only thing people mention is the chipset, and I have not seen ONE example of where having snapdragon 8xx chipset makes one bit of difference to this chipset in ANY day to day usage or games. It’s funny because every review site mentions it and says something like “won’t quite offer the performance in the graphics intense games” but no review sites actually show any evidence lol. Personally, I think there is a little conspiracy where review sites are pressured to not show that chipsets are becoming irrelevant for Android and iOS, all new ones are more than powerful enough. They might become relevant again once we get Androids and iOS successor platforms

I like the aluminum build quality, reminds me of my HTC 10? A Google first, aluminum build with wireless? How did they do this thing, I like it. Well, alittle lesser processer but the 8gigs of ram should accommodate quite well. I'm sure as rain it will still be very fast? This is a new path for Google, I hope they succeed, 699.00, not bad!

Both have near 44mm2, while 363 has about 24mm2.

Also, both are exclusive sensors. No other brand can have.
Google needs to order similar product.
