tbh one plus is somewhat water resistant. That red seal around the sim card is to prevent water Getting inside however you have to pay for an IP certification which will increase the price of their phones . Wireless charging is very pointless imo at the end of the day u still need to plug the plate into a mains . The only difference is your phone is sitting on a plate vs a usb leading going into your phone . The plate isn't convenient because it's not ' fully wireless' nor is it anywhere quicker as USB

Glad they droped the price. Hopefully OnePlus 9 will drop both the depth and macro cameras and bring the sensor from the 8 Pro to the main camera. Otherwise perfect phone for me.

Oneplus is now becoming like Google, saying someone for doing wrong things and now doing it wromg themselves. They said they focused on the top end speeds, that's why they upgraded the storage and chipset last year. But this year, they took it back.

I am gonna complain about this phone though, because of :
1. Useless Macro camera
2. Useless Depth camera
3. No Wireless Charging
4. Main camera and ultrawide have no upgrades at all
5. No MicroSd
6. No headphone jack
7. Thought it were going to be $799
8. Uses LPDDR4X RAM instead of LPDDR5 RAM
9. Uses the standard 865, not the 865+
10. No 512 GB model
The last two one is an must, since Oneplus is an speed focused company, but they didn't upgrade the RAM and chip, only the storage got upgrade.
But, after seeing its $750, well ok. It is cheaper than the same version of the Oneplus 8. So i wouldn't complain too much.
But,i would still get the Iphone 12/S20 FE, why?
1. Ip rating
2. Wireless Charging
3. Better screen quality
4. Better battery life
5. Better cameras
6. Better videos
7. Better brand support
8. Better speakers and haptics
9. Longer software update support
Hope the Oneplus 9 will have an better design, the 8T looks ugly. Hope the prices of Oneplus phones would stay the same. Hope Oneplus supports its phones for 3 years instead of 2.

I think it's priced well. £549. There's bound to be someone on gsm complaining.. why wouldn't it be under 400 dollars

Mi10t pro has hit oneplus the hardest blow.what so ever results maybe the specification of 108mp camera will sure to find customers in line for xiomi...i think mi 10t pro will be the first flagship sucess in india. When oneplus 8t and mi10t pro are at same price..mi 10t will be winner. Its time oneplus focus on camera and introduce large sensors and 50mp lens and ofcourse when oppo can have 5x periscopic why cant oneplus...let the utter flop of oneplus 8t teach them a leason that its camera not the processor that matters..also should bring back 3.5 jack and dac...else time to farewell oneplus in india.
