Crackling Doom, 14 Oct 2020Technically, the successor to the OnePlus 8 will be OnePlus... moreNot with the amount of upgrades they put on the T version since last year. Sure, until 7T, the T versions were hardly any real generational jump over their regular versions. But 7T from last year was a bigger leap from 7 than even 8 was from 7. Similarly, 8T is a huge leap from 8 this year. I have a feeling that 9 won't be that different from 8T other than perhaps a better main camera.

Lukhanyo, 14 Oct 2020Pointless phone, why did they release this Only to be like Apple, Google and their other Asian counterparts to release a 2nd-half of the year flagship phone but after OP lost its RS Porsche exclusive, I guess they still think that they must still matter in the 2H somehow.

OnePlus 8T is a successor to OnePlus 7T.

At least that's how I see it.

Is there anything else different about the T-Mobile version? Is there any reason to get that one?

I usually lean towards the unlocked ones but there do sometimes seem to be special features on the store verstions. And they're explicite that they're separate phones?

T-Mobile's FAQ even calls them out as separate phones.

I saw that OnePlus also announced the OnePlus 8T 5G — is T-Mobile carrying that smartphone?
No, the OnePlus 8T 5G is only being sold through OnePlus.

Yipee. As Apple showed us y'day as how they see India for their products and United States is very important to them so as Japan n China.
N today oneplus proved it's more like an Indian brand than Chinese. It costs even lower than Oneplus 8. Also it has amazing specs except no telephoto. Hope they'll improve a lot in cameras next year. I already have the op7 pro will upgrade to 9pro. All d best oneplus.

Excellent phone from OnePlus. At ₹42,999 (~$580) this is better than crappy Exynos S20 fe which is a $100 more expensive and half-day battery iPhone 12 kids edition which is $400 more expensive.
