Why are people saying that you can't compare across different platforms when apple themselves in their presentation made claims of up to 50% higher CPU Vs any smartphone....
Apple themselves even compared benchmarks with the Kirin CPU before????? Why???

[deleted post]Are you an idiot or do you just act like one? I literally explained it to you and you're just going "lalalalalalalala" "something something 500 million lawsuit" "lalalalalala". You're one desperate Apple hater. Not to mention I literally said lack of communication and option was a bad choice, but on the other hand I understand why Apple just decided for it from their perspective. Also I explained you actual technical reasons for the decision. This wasn't "lets slow down phones so people would buy new ones". It was literally lets slow them down so people who don't replace battery can hold on to them for a bit longer. Unlike all the Android phone makers that make OS obsolete after 2 years and pretend they aren't actually forcing you to replace your otherwise perfectly capable phone. I don't know about you, but I really don't like buying a 800€ high end phone that stops getting major OS updates after 2 years and there is no amount of your complaining and whining that will convince me otherwise when same 800€ iPhone is getting them for 5 years. Even if I don't get all the fancy features which is obvious, but you get the major ones and that's always better than not getting any at all. And then security updates go even further. With our lives all being on our phones, that sure as hell matters a lot to me. But hey, you have your 8K resolution display on your Android, coz that somehow matters on tiny devices...

Because Antutu is a benchmarking tool to fool many Android users when the benchmark is executed differently. iPhone still has world-class performance.

Developers just doesn't have quality with android and they don't care. They propably stop supporting widgets years ago already because hardly no-one is using them with android. Always when i see android user phone only widgets they have are those which are there when you start using your phone. I bet most don't even know that you have that possibility to add more of them. Now with iPhone everyone knows widgets and they are really popular. Propably lot of android users now just figuring out that they have those too :D

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2020The 5 year update system of iOS is a giant scam. You get la... moreKeep convincing yourself that it's a scam, just so you can feel better with your outdated Android for which you always wait for months to get the damn updates and just get cut out for no reason most of the time. See you when iOS 15 comes out and I for a fact know I'll get it. Are you so confident for your 3 years old Android smartphone? For widgets, I almost didn't care because they are trash on Android most of the time. All in weird sizes that rarely fit into the grid properly aligned with normal icons even when you resize them and they are often buggy with outdated info that isn't refreshing properly or eating battery for no god damn reason. Had that too many times. Apple's approach with fixed sizes is actually better, they just need to add 1x4 type and it'll be golden. Also what are all these amazing features iPhones don't have? Bunch of gimicky trash that's fun for 10 minutes and then you never use it ever again? Or are you going to rub default apps setting in my face again coz that's the only argument you ppl can always muster? This was annoying for a day and then I got used to it and didn't really care after. Convenience, but not end of the world at all.
Also you're still going on about the chipset throttling with degraded batteries? Really? Dude, that's such grasping at straws it's almost incredible. There is no "deliberate" slowdowns with new versions. That was one single time when Apple introduced throttling of chipset in order to make phones with old degraded batteries usable and you simpletons are still grabbing on to it like the ultimate gotcha. But I guess you'll never know how it is to own a smartphone for 5+ years still running on first battery and such things actually start to make sense to extend the life of the phone without having to replace its battery. Only thing where Apple failed was lack of communication about it. If they just openly stated this feature will be in place to make phone usable with old battery and with option to switch back to full performance anyway and all would be well. But they just did it because lets face it, masses just don't care for as long as things work and that especially applies to Apple devices that are expected to "just work". Internet got outraged (when does it not?) and they changed it. It's still there, just with communication and options I've mentioned above. Reason is simple, degraded batteries don't like spikes in usage and chipset ramping CPU clock high often caused battery to not be able to supply enough power and phone would just die. By throttling, they eliminated those spikes and phones continued to work. Probably a bit slower since it couldn't boost as high, but it worked well for most users. So, what's better, an unusable phone that's shutting down or phone that's slower, but still works as normal (unless you replace battery and it goes back to full performance)? But hey, it's easy to just bash crap coz you're really actually Android fanboy and you don't care about facts or actual technical background or design decision of something. You're no better than die hard Apple fanboys. Just on the other end with Android. Heh.

Android Authority, 16 Oct 2020Basically, what you mean to say is that "Android is on... more😁 yes to sum it up! But iOS is great within its limitations. iOS design and hardware integration considered the users to be less than average geeks. Whereas, Android by design considered to be open, flexible, can be adopted by varying needs etc...Apple need not consider these situations since they are sole proprietor of iOS and iPhones.

Apple really is generation ahead if not more, just checked Geekbench 5 scores, no android phone gets even close of A14 scores, and even leaked S21 benchmark is very far from A14 results.
No wonder Apple is ditching intel and building their own chips for laptops.

The A14 has the potential to soar past the competition if these similar approaches were taken, a potential A14X if you will..
However attention to the A14 being efficient wins here..

To put it simply, the test results of Antutu benchmark only support the comparison within the same system based on the same major version and not support cross-version or cross-platform comparison.
