No. Not by a long stretch of the imagination. Between Google's monopolistic practices and user profiling (privacy concerns) vs.
Huawei's government backdoors and spying, I'll take Google every time. Besides, Huawei's app gallery lacks important apps and is riddled with piracy (copycat) and malicious apps.

For me the app situation isn't a problem as I always manually update my apps from third party sources. But the lack of bootloader unlock is.
I generally keep Google Play services frozen unless required and always behind a firewall.

Many people laugh on IOS was walled OS.
But now they can't survive without GMS.

I love Huawei phones, they have the best specs to size balance of any Android phones but i cant buy one without proper GMS support.
Yes, you can sideload it and yes it does mostly work but I have seven financial apps on my phone that use GMS and I want them to be using Play Protect properly.
All the sideloading systems require you to download and install frameworks that could be compromised, its simply not worth it for me.
If I didn't use my smartphone for pretty much everything I'd buy a Huwaei, as it is I moved away from my P30 Pro when it started replacing GMS features with HMS because I could see a future point when none of my financial apps would work anymore.
I really hope Biden will reverse this nonsense but honestly, I dont see it and Huawei will die through lack of high end SOCs.
