If Samsung did copy Sony tech, they'd already be sued. It doesn't matter who made it first, it's about executing it properly and marketing it to the masses.

Samsung doesn't come close to the amount of R&D and release of new and innovative products. Samsung built their business on copying others. So, its about time they are finally making a difference in tech. that said, when will the market see these new displays? 2 years from now? 10 years from now?

It's not about making just a single feature stand out like, the camera or the display, but making a complete coherent smartphone. That's why S series took off and still is a go to for the majority. So please stop degrading both Samsung and it's customers.

This one is a gimmick for capturing the eyes and the pockets of fools but not true life experience regarding consuming and performing at least related to CPU in smartphones at least. Sony knows best!

this is not a gimmick for sure as it has its purpose...
like my z5 premium, and now 1ii... xz premium, xz premium and 1 also have 4k display with 600-800 ppi depending on aspect ratio and diagonal...
besides, this is an oled... for the same ppi, lcd looks sharper than oled...
