Nice but there's millions of Super Amoled Plus screens with green tint trouble without any solution.

Interesting. This could have other uses for smartphones. Like having very high res photos from screenshots, the ability to save high res videos too, and something else I want Samsung to have a patent on, so I probably shouldnt post it here.

    This is absolutely pathbreaking.

With the power of the playstation 5 and possible sucessor to Playstation VR , if this sucessor uses 1000 ppi (sony xperia 1 or 1 ii currently uses 4k at 6.5" which is 806ppi, should be good enough for high fidelity next gen VR, best aspect, 120htz is best noticeable on vr than on phones and the 2016 release of playstation vr is a landmark technology as it first 120htz for VR and within a dedicated console.

This is good for innovation but based of off Sony's 4K screens on phones. No one really cares about having it, as screen door effect isn't even on phones with 1080p screens. Sony has yet to put their 4K screen on the PSVR and Samsung has yet to make it big on the VR market. I like the innovation but if its limited to only a minimum of 10,000 PPI then even the top range gaming PC's would still struggle DLSS or not.

There's also microLED and miniLED tech that everyone needs to get on.

Anonymous, 26 Oct 2020So, they can make oled for phones but not tv. But patents ... moreYea, those companies buy the panels FROM LG - since they are the only ones in the world capable of making OLED. This is because they invested billions in the tech and it has paid off. It's on the world wide web you should try it out sometime.

I think this is the future of displays which already started with smartphones, visual information that is portable. We have headphones/earphones that can immerse but we have yet to have good portable hardware for the eyes. I mean, why have a small display in front of you while sitting in an airplane or looking at small screen laptop when one can wear glasses/goggles/headset for a virtual large screen

The only mention on Sony here is when ppi on phones was talked about, and it's no longer our problem that they made us interested by producing the highest ppi on any smartphone today instead of your beloved brand.

Wow. No one can beat Samsung in screen tech.

No, all that is about the 10K PPI panel.

Anonymous, 26 Oct 2020Did you read the article ?? Its clearly says TV, Smartphone... moreYes it does say the tech could be used in smartphones and stuff. It doesn't say that you will see a "10,000 PPI OLED panel" (which the article is about) in phones anywhere. Every single one of you is clearly referring to the 10k PPI panel rather than the display architecture, when the article says the latter is what you'll find in smartphones.
