        More ecosystem and other irrelevant blah blah blah arguments... Apple needs to stop these practices because it leads to a worse tech world in my opinion. I just watched Louis Rossmann's video, they are doing it on purpose.

        Software updates can be nicely replaced by a custom ROM. It's not the same case with hardware.

I own an iPhone 6s which I bought when it was released. I still enjoy using my phone and I don’t think I need a replacement. I broke the screen couple of weeks ago and tried to get it replaced at the authorized local Apple repair service in Iraq and they told me they can’t do it because the phone is old and they don’t have the replacement part. So I went to a shop at the local smartphone bazaar and found many shops that will replace it for me for 100$. I would happily pay this price if I retain my Touch ID but unfortunately Apple won’t allow it. So can you please tell me how is this repair policy benefiting anyone but Apple? At least after the repair period when the phone is no longer easily repairable by Apple or their service providers, Apple should allow 3rd party “unauthorized” repairs.

            Despite what most Fandroids believes, APPLE IS A PREMIUM BRAND bordering luxury goods. It is an absolute status symbol and there's nothing wrong with that. This is a major trigger point for Fandroids as they refuse to acknowledge this only viewing specs vs specs when they do the comparison.

            People who spends money on premium products will not hesitate to spend on proper channels to maintain the authenticity of their product.

            I guarantee you people who bought the expensive Galaxy Folds will bring them to Samsung in the event of repairs even when it's out of warranty.

                Its about YOUR right to do what YOU want with YOUR product that YOU purchased with YOUR money.

                I should be able do modify my Lamborghini if i so wish, dont control my behaviour coz its mine. If i choose a crappy mechanic, thats on me. If i self modify and screwed it up, thats on me. And Lamborghini doesn't restrict you like apple does(with their pairing). Can you imagine if they paired their exhaust pipe with the car?WTF?

                      Android users on average do not want to spend on their devices. iPhone users are not in the same league.

                      Fandroids view this as “sheeps” just being gullible, FACT IS WE ARE OK TO SPEND on our devices as we value customer experience and our robust ecosystem.

                                I wonder who are all these people in need to repair a phone one way or another? In some 20 years of using mobile phones, I haven't had one fail on me in any way. Even more so, what are you people doing that you need replacing a camera? Display, fine. People are clumsy and accidents happen. Battery, fine, people use (mostly) iPhones for years so it wears out. But camera. What are you doing with it for camera to fail?

                                And even for battery, people complain about it like it's a 350€ replacement. Back when I was buying iPhone XR, battery replacement for it was 70€, because it was a new model. Older ones were 50€. So, a 70€ battery replacement on a what was 850€ smartphone. On what planet is that expensive considering it's done by official Apple service? Sure, you can buy a questionable battery from AliExpress for 15€ and replace it yourself, saving 55€. If I had a need to replace the battery I'd do it without any thinking for just 70€. It's really not expensive at all. It's not like with displays or back glasses that are really unreasonably priced accounting for half of the phone price for some reason. But battery replacement is perfectly reasonable. Especially since you don't replace it every year. If you own phone for 5 years, you maybe replace it once somewhere in the middle of those 5 years. And that's it.

                                  And about Chinese phones don't get updates after 1 year is a big lie.
                                  What can you expect if you buy a phone for 150$, normally not much.
                                  But most midrangers, get their updates timely.
                                  All the top flagships normally get their updates.

                                  Did you ever tried to have a flagship phone from China? I don't think you had, but still you talk about it like u had.

                                  You can't really compare Apple phones vs Android low rangers 800$-1400$ vs 150$-300$ 😂
                                  But still it's possible to find one of the cheap Android low rangers which get their updates.
