04 November 2020
The iPhone 12 mini’s smaller battery won’t support the faster 15W charging speeds of the other new iPhones.

[deleted post]PC batteries are larger and have more room, thus less heat. Less heat means less degration.

Bluetooth and NFC are always on, not only that, I stream at least 1,5h a day music to my Bluetooth headset on my way to and back from my work, and it does not count as a screen ON.
I also use it as Hotspot for my laptop when I need a bigger screen on my way.

Oh yeah, they make sure that phones that charge at 5 TIMES the speed have NO more degration than a phone that charges at 1/5 of the speed.

You can only prevent so much degration without sacrificing charging speed.

You know you can't go against the laws of physics, right?

More pressure reversing the electrons from the cathode to the anode means more pressure is put on the battery. More pressure means higher pressure on the electrolyte.
Plus, there is mechanical stress and all other sorts of issues.

Before this coving sh*t I've had two concerts per week on average.
Mainly Germany and Switzerland, and fast charging and the huge battery saved me many times. I simply do whatever i want and dont stress if my phone will have enough battery. Taking pictures, recording travelings, gaming in the back stage, recording the whole concert, everything .
As long as you don't have any emergency situations in your life and dpnt need to fill up the battery in no time than yes, the scenario you've described is very optimal. But than is not how life is all the time. And for those emergency situations there is no solution except caring a power bank,or better battery case which adds more cost to the already expensive phone.

Here are the facts - Qualcomm states thatfast charging doesd not hurt batteries that are DESIGNED TO BE FAST CHARGED. The batteries are DESIGN to accept a certain amount of voltage.

Q: Can Quick Charge hurt my smartphone's battery?
A: Quick Charge operates within the design parameters of batteries found in most smartphones. It is just charging the battery the way it is designed to be charged.

Device manufacturers build smartphones with a specific battery that can accept a specific level of charge. The battery size and maximum current of each battery are design decisions made by the manufacturer and can vary from smartphone to smartphone, tablet to tablet and so on.

However, traditional battery charging technology does not come close to the full power requirements of today's large batteries. Quick Charge is designed to allow device manufacturers to achieve the full rated capability of the batteries they choose while still meeting the performance and safety standards set by the battery manufacturer.

The Watt charging is getting gimmicky like the days of octa cores.. Remember when cores are a big deal some time ago, yet it was shamed by iPhone’s dual cores. and iPhone 64bit move caught everyone in the android world with their pants down. now no one talks about cores. same with retina and those high resol android phone that ends up lagging.

look at the results that truly matters. i am not saying more is not merrier, but you will need to see how everything comes together and call for a balance.
