Huawei has made a PC powered by its own silicon as well, a HiSilicon-designed ARM CPU

19 November 2020
The CPU is made at TSMC's 7 nm fabs. Unlike the M1 Macs, the Huawei computer uses standard DDR RAM, M.2 SSDs, and PCIe boards.

It makes sense that this is catered for government contracts, considering Intel so much as admits openly that their CPUs have a backdoor.

So we have Windows with SQ1/SQ2, macOS with M1, and an unknown OS with Kunpeng ARM chip. If it really runs on Linux, I wonder if it would be based on Debian.

AMD graphics is a good choice. Support is built into the Linux kernel. Even better than Mali.

Hope someone like Linus can get their hands on one. Would very much like to know how well it performs. Looks like a nice Workstation board. Will also need to know how good the software support is. It'll run linux but how is the kernel support for the new cpu?

Those 180W are just for the CPU cluster; RAM, I/O, storage, GPU, etc will add much more additional wattage.

A country that looks after it's companies and private sector, OMG such an INSANE concept!

The difference between US companies and shady Chinese "businesses" is that at the minimum a large corporation like for example Apple can be sued, tried, fined and be forced to make amends to their policies, when is the last time a Chinese piece of crap was sued for customer mistreatment, like lets say, when your poopy Poco phone has a defection?

Well, the next thing you hear is that Huawei will have their own Refrigerator, washing machine just like LG, aircon , all household and office electronics and gadgets ,and probably they might even create their own car, who knows, and they might able to pull it up because they are supported with their government . Believe me, in the future, you will huawei brand on most things. CCP was planting a seed and was successfully groomed it to a big tree that can devour weeds and existing old trees.
