It's garbage like this that makes me wonder why more brands don't look into LG's P-OLED or Sharp's IGZO Pro OLED instead. Samsung is on too high of a horse to care about their Quality Control.

Is this just on Samsung's highest quality AMOLED screens? I have 3 phones with Samsung panels and none have had this. Also another phone with an undisclosed OLED (probably BOE) without any problem like this. But I've only seen / heard of this issue on flagship phones.

Well at least it hasn't come to South Africa yet. Luckily they picked it up before it came here.

Not too surprising. Samsung phones and others with its panels (OnePlus, Pixel) also had tinting issue. Some models with Samsung panels also suffer from touch issues.

The Samsung plague continues... can't believe they haven't fixed this already. I had to return an S10 Lite because of that reason. Older S phones never had this problem...

Displays and image sensors are not like cpu that one designs and pay other to make.

This has nothing to do with a rushed product, and can happen to literally every manufacturer. Those units are faulty and rare. Lord knows Samsung had their fair issues with the same problems in the early AMOLED days and still do.

What's with technology being rushed to have it on the market with these problems? I mean, surely Apple can afford to pay someone to set how the screen is under 90%, no? Is that asking for too much?
Or is it one of those where iPhone 12s (or whatever it might be called) in 6 months will have a new screen and it's an 'upgrade' so more Apple fans can blindly buy another new phone?

And at the same time, Apple and Samsung having the same issue while BOE displays are fine. 🤣

The rush to get a phone on the market means that extensive quality control is not carried out. If it were done, this would not happen. Apple, Google, OnePlus, Samsung... What's going on?
