Are there any details how French rating system is defined?

I can see this idea catching on.

It's just you need to bring it to repair-shop install the new battery.
I use xiaomi and it's cost like at most $30 to replace the battery when i was basically in remote small town for work.

Well, for android phones at very least. iPhones have their way on ensuring user didn't replace anything on their own.

We used to pay €20 for an original Samsung battery and now it's close to €30 + shipping costs. Can't even walk into a major retailer to buy a battery anymore...

Shanti Dope, 26 Nov 2020It's about time you move on and start adopting changes... moreOnly phones that last two years with non degraded battery life are those that are barely used or used in a lesser degree than what they were made for. A phone used to its fullest, ie a FLAGSHIP phone used like a FLAGSHIP and not like a budget call/text/facebook/camera one will have its battery degraded in months.

People like you are what cornered some of us with sealed batteries. So I had to make it up by using powerbanks with removable batteries.

When all batteries are sealed, no one can stop makers from charging $100+ for battery change. Or just stop selling battery after 2 years so you buy the next shiny.

France has long been fighting against programmed obsolescence. (The company that started this practice of programmed obsolescence is Philps with its light bulbs and then passed it on to all its products, including the current ones). ) A country that fights for the protection of the buyer is a country that owes it to its inhabitants. This measure of the degree of repair fights against this obsolescence. I live in Spain and here it's a disaster. I have a bad experiencie with Alcatel, Philips, Ford because the programmed obsolescence.
