I doubt the 775G antutu score will be that high.

Android--Master, 27 Nov 2020I don't entertain GeekBench or other cpu only benchmar... moreAntutu's methodology test has been debunked as a hoax after Mediatek devices were caught cheating early this year.

And iOS is still running v.7 of Antutu's test suite while Android at v.8, hence the lower scores. iOS utilises Metal API and Android with Vulkan.

Speed Test G by Gary Sims, a very reliable programmer with good reputation has tested iPhone 12's throttlng.

      https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=embeCloBNYs

No phones have cheated in this benchmark and it supports cross-platform unlike Antutu. The result of the A14 is class-leading with only slight throttling.

Same methodology applied to A13 in iPhone 11 Pro Max resulted in 15% performance reduction.

Then one can conclude A14 is a class-leader once again. Snapdragon chips are still far away. Besides SD performance in phones in different models are not the same. Samsung and Sony phones tend to thermal throttle quicker than some Chinese phones.

Speed Test G is the most reliable test as no phones have cheated in this tool.

The only phones I know that can record HDR10+ are galaxy S10 and S20 series, but at 4k30 only. 8k record is SDR 24fps (and limited to a few minutes IIRC).

The V60 is advertised as 8k HDR10+, but maybe it just "save it" as HDR format, because the dynamic range is nowhere close to true HDR. Even GSM arena said that colors looked "washed out".

Chipset is capable according to QC and Samsung (exynos v), but there is no proof of it.

For example, what is exactly tested on memory? Access time? Latency? File System? Nand speed? Bandwidth? Is about RAM or nand? Is it both? Is affected by quantity?

And then, against what is measured, is there a base? What does mean a score of 1,000 vs 1,100? Is the score linear, logarithmic?

Poor iPhone stuck with 4K60 that gives noisy images at night.

So I hope with SD 875, the 5 nm node will help produce less heat, then there are phones with vapor chambers mine doesn't have it, and if the next Adreno is more power efficient than the one in SD 855, the performance/watt should help producing less heat I think 🤔

Anonymous, 27 Nov 2020Even Android mid range chip better than flagship A14 from Apple. If it is stronger; So why can't any Android Phone turn on HDR at 4K @ 60FPS? On the iPhone side, even the 11 family can do this and even record 4K @ 60 FPS + EIS + HDR from two cameras at the same time.

A14 can open 4K @ 60FPS + EIS + HDR10 + Dolby Vision. It can record without time limit and can do them at 10 bit color depth. This means processing 40 times more colors than 8 Bit.

There is a processor on the Snapdragon side that can do these, but haven't we heard?

We don't need updates till 5 years just to experience a bug free optimized build.

With this kind of score, Phone companies should focus more on their software optimization on top of android OS so this computing power would not go to waste. In my opinion, once you go over the 600K mark, you could run most, if not all games in ultra settings, unless you want to do video rendering and running AutoCAD on your phone.

The combo you're talking about is used when Qualcomm releases the Plus version of their flagship 8xx SoCs and that barely bumps the performance by a tiny increase of about 10%. This 775G is built differently: different node, different cores, different clocks and a different GPU. We shall wait and see.

the 680K Antutu score made by exynos 1080 is made by a hugely overcocked version,no one would put that overcocked version on mass producation phone unless they have a cooling system and nuclear battary.
CPU performance of exynos 1080 is good,as good as sn865,while GPU performance is close sn855+.

The 765 uses cortex A76 and the 750 A77, so the arquitecture is there, maybe just some clock boosting and a better GPU and boom
