It's amazing that Apple have allowed a good Flash browser to be sold on the iPhone yet Android are removing Adobe Flash player!

Nav, 15 Aug 2012Do not upgrade to JB if you want to enjoy it.I have jelly bean on my Xoom and I have no issues with flash. I hope it stays that way. That is one reason why I haven't bought the nexus 7, I know that is less likely to have working flash

The real reason apple did not adopt flash was that Steve Jobs had a personal rivalry against the then CEO of adobe, and so he gave all these silly excuses why flash is not good...
All apple fanboys believed it. Trust me, im not an apple hater, im writing this on my mac air but really the wonderful flash is going out, I feel sad.. its been so long since i first used it.. u will be missed deeply flash... adios! may ur soul rest in peace.....

Can any one say apple have not paid adobe handsomely to stay out of the mobile market, to try and bring android down. That doesn't sound like "jobsy, king of the universe to me." That sounds like.....

This is true if you talk about desktop computers, i actually tested this few days, and it just didnt work, flash needed everywhere.

But while i did that test i used same sites with my iPad and well EVERYONE of those sites which i used works with iPad.

It just tells how different experience IPad without flash is compared to desktop pc without flash.

im not sure how well things are working without flash on android, but i hardly see any blank frames on my iPad.

No doubt flash takes most of the phone resources and slow down the whole phone. However, it gives user a complete web browsing experience on mobile phone. In addition, the dual core mobile phone hardware able to handle it without too much pressure.

can see there being a big leap in windows phone and iphone sales, though I don't care about flash, so many people i know including my college tutors chose android just for flash.

Why dont they just let the user decide for themself whether to continue using flash or move to html5. Because me myself have experienced that flash is still a big part of the internet. Just try to disable your flash plugins and take a walk (i mean browsing) around and you'll be expected to see many blank frames arounds. And I found it funny for gsmarena calling this abetter option, considering this site itself havent make a move to even support html5.

If html5 is really as good as they said, many developers will surely have embraced this technology already. And user will happily move to it without have to be forced or even be persuade.

First time I use Android phone when browsing. Cool! Its website display is the same as in using PC, flash supported. If Adobe would like to stop it, it's OK, maybe one day there will be Adobe Flash changer that have a good look too.

I'm sure people play appstore games instead which are meant for that device and are better looking, running better fits perfeclty in screen etc.

Also if thats the problem why Apple want html5? there's already html5 web games in net game sites. Also why apple has always offered web apps in their web site?

Also i see much bigger problem for appstore in those html5 games, because when you find interesting game, you can make shortcut for that game in your homescreen and it works like regural appstore game, its perfectly resized, no browser bar etc. So no need for going to website to find your favourite games, its actually very nice feature not sure if flash for android has that?

this same trick actually works for many html5 sites too, video sites etc.

This is example of that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgptJxqw9LI I think thats going to be one of the key elements of html5, you dont feel like using webapps or sites because they feel like normal apps or games. its easy to add them to your daily use.
