The real reason Apple didn't support Flash is that they didn't want users to run web applications such as games in order to promote their App Store. Flash's poor performance was just a plausible excuse. That said, I never liked Flash and I am happy to see it dying.

Wrong, most of video sites also works nowdays without flash too, but well how you could know that...
This is the biggest problem with flash, if you use it you really don't know how many of those same videos, sites etc. works fine without flash on mobile too.

AnonD-252, 15 Aug 2012Can html5 do this http://www.2advanced.com/#/home I think the reason is that, it doesn't open up on devices that doesn't run flash... And even if it runs on my android devices, I can't click on most stuff and it just lags my phone real bad...
It's a good site on the computer, but can an investor with an iPad see it?
Flash was awesome, until Apple killed it. Now let's hope that Apple doesn't kill innovation as we know it. Since it seems that they are patenting everything that will destroy innovation.

That site is one of the most famous flash sites which shows best side of flash.
If you want to see that site fully, download puffin browser, its actually quite good nowdays. That site works nicely with that, also performance is surprisingly good.

I'm not sure what Adobe is trying to achieve with this stupid decision. You can't just cut the program support when 90% of webpages still use Flash. How am i suppose to use them on my phone then? Especially since desktop systems still have it. They endrose HTML5 on all ends but realistically no one is using it. pretty much ALL video sites use Flash for video. Even Youtube, the largest of them all uses Flash. HTML5 is just a side beta test... Grooveshark is also using Flash in a full fledged version. HTML5 is totally basic and broken. So why cut off Adobe Flash when other solutions are nowhere near as widely used or supported? It's just stupid.

It is stupid to remove the ability to play flash in the browser, because nothing stops webpage-developers to use html5 if they actually think it is better and easier than flash already today, and browsers that can play flash can also easily play html5! Why censor/block a very big part of the Internet from the users! Browsers should be able to handle anything on the web, and users should be able/allowed to visit any webpage on the Internet! If you do not like Adobe Flash the user can disable or uninstall it, and adblockers remove every flash ads anyway, so being able to play flash does not need to reduce any phone-browser performance!
This have been done all wrong, from the top and not actually requested by the users!
