We have seen enough sideleaks about the Lumia Pureview not being as powerful in terms of camera as 808 is.

But, I think this time they can change.. After all, Microsoft is the same company that provides Windows 7 to our PC's.
Lumia looks good, and its functionality may be increased now... And that guy is challenging Samsung.

No matter how professional they are, they are humans and they have rivals.

Better be quad and have pureview in it to be pretty compelling specially to droid and apple fans. Though personally, I wouldn't really bother with top specs because WP7 is beautiful OS and smooth even with single core. But I'd be delighted to see what the multi-core WP8 would throw against the competition.. And the Lumia designs are great. My wish: more metal in my Lumia!

The device is good, it's the OS that doesn't appeal.

Just over ten years ago, Apple was on the brink of bankruptcy and then managed to pull one of the most stunning corporate turnaround in history. Nokia and Microsoft are the underdog now. And their situation now imo is not as dire as apple was, at least not for Microsoft which still owns the PC space. IOS and android just won the first round out of twelve. I own samsung galaxy phone and ipad and happy with them, but now my money, literally, goes to the underdog.

Is this phone going to be atleast as good as the Samsung Galaxy i9000 S? The answer is doubtful. Nokia sucks. And those who work there are morons if they think that their looony Lumia series is going to get them anywhere :P

i used samsung for a years coz it optimized android well among the rest..but im tired of its poor cgnal, bad sound guality , trying hard camera..and disappoint with my s3 now..this will be my last android..no cure for its lagginess..
..now wp8 can run multi cores so it capable for wider screen,1080 p recordng, also card,bluetooth,etc..and additional of nokia's strong cgnal, sound quality, clear black, and pure view...????? i know evry1 can imagine that..
..Mokia is a big threat for others..coz they know, even me,who used other os and brand for years, will not hesitate to come back to my old "king of ennovation,nokia.." ,if if if wp8 will release in a good form and see a future from it..
..im not a fan of any1,just want my money be worthy...

for the average smartphone user i think that the three OS's are great and fulfill the needs (IOS, Android and WP).
i have used all of the three and im quite impressed with Lumia range and i think if microsoft & nokia work together and fix some issues they will succeed in the near future.

Like the fear in the lag-droid fans comments.

Nokia is getting ready for the future.
Microsoft has the pockets of cash to make sure we will all like it.

When will Nokia learn that their days are gone??
Please, shut down the damn thing!
it's releasing dumb after dumb phones serially, starting with lumia windows phones lineup which don't have a damn future! Symbian sure was a fab OS...although it was not meant to be released on touch based devices...
maybe if it had stuck with Android, things would've been dramatically different..Nokia would've been INVINCIBLE!

                        What about us poor geeks?

I've been a Nokia user for the last 7 years (my first Nokia a legendary 6230 with S40) and my last phone is not powered by Windows. To be honest I'm still in the Symbian bandwagon with a C6-01 with Belle because even if the WP experience is lag free, more stable and even more eye-candy looking it hasn't been able to deliver a whole bunch of worthy apps. My aunt has been the first in my family to get a Lumia phone, I tried it and is very user friendly, fast and has good preinstalled apps but once you start looking for more you'll find a quick end of the road in the Nokia store. I hope the WP8 launch brings more developers attention and of course the Bluetooth file support as well as the announced micro sd, multicore and HD screen capability. Those are musts for the customers that've always loved the good old days of powerful and outstanding Nokia phones and I'm one of them. And that's their last chance for Nokia to bring these musts if they don't want to loose another loyal customer as Android looks more interesting (and buggy) with every release.

                                  working on WP8 before they
