With a full Qt Framework OS, these devices will be snappy and fresh. Not to mention easy to port .ipa, .sis and .apk. Qt is awesome and open source.

it's a smart thing to do for RIM, making a Full Touchscreen Device. The competition for RIM not loosing it's marketshare is getting stronger every day. Handsets like I9300 and ONE X are hot these days. Maybe this phone will get them back in business...

This would be very helpful for mobile app developers and UI designers who will work with the new screen resolutions. Hope this update brings RIM back into contention with the likes of Apple and Google.

So many people say Blackberry is too late. I beg to differ. I think this whole delay thing is deliberate. They are waiting for the market to "bottom out" so that all the non faithful users jump ship, and then they are left with the loyal addicted uses and enterprise clients. Those users will spend more in any case. More on handsets, apps and services. Don't expect to see anymore low end Blackberries after OS10 is released. The profits are too small and I doubt RIM will bother with them anymore. They are preparing for a much smaller but more profitable operation, and I honestly don't see them even trying to chase iphone and android head to head. There would be no point really, being a single manufacturer with such a specific user base and focus.

Arman, 16 Aug 2012rim is best , i have blackberry playbook 16GB for 200$ best... moreBlackberry are breathing only in India and it is dying in rest of the world. Its hope now totally depends on BB 10 OS.
You cant compare Tegra 2 with OMAP. It is outdated. Regarding which is the best then no one can beat ipad in tablets. Nexus 7 is also ideal than playbook. I see the bright future for Win 8 tablets too.
