Other brands seem to have been found guilty of the same.

the tech nerd, 06 Dec 2020Wait all Chinese phones don't???Most cheap ones ship with adware(BLU, Micromax, my|phone, Wiko & Xiaomi) how ever come comes with stuff like the Triada banking virus in most cases not planted on purpose by manufacturer in something called supply chain attacks! Now the ones I consider most in the clear of any wrong doing is BBK subsidiaries and Huawei, never found any virus, spyware or adware in these devices at worst the little ads shown in their app stores... solution: get a pixel

              Even Mi does the same.
I've had unknown apps installing on my earlier Redmi 2 Prime without permission.
At least Mi is not the so-called "respectable Chinese company" anymore, can't talk about huawei without a personal experience though...

I know I'll get trolled by LG, Samsung owners for having cheap chinese phone, but I guess I'm myself a LG phone owner now...

I also noted this. It'll install unwanted apps, their phones also allow hackers to peek from social apps.

Xiaomi used to do this to we they were small\new, I hope they don't do this anymore.

These companies need money, but they sell the phones cheap. Go figure. They had to make profits somewhow.

If you want no trackers, buy a phone from a very profit oriented company, where they have so much profit they won't bother to install trojans anymore

Nothing in the world is free. If something is too good to be true, it means you are being profited unknowingly.

So many cheapskates android users, always looking for free and crack apk, same with those illegal media downloaders.. unknowningly opening their devices to malwares.

So better buy an iPhone, and have a piece of mind. Knowing the company only profit from your sales upfront. And no rubbish behind your back.
