Android--Master, 10 Dec 2020All amazing things you mentioned that you can do on Mac can... moreI am pretty sure everything that I can do on my Mac, I can probably do on my PCs. No doubts even it is a bit more painful, complicated and done with more clicks in Windows.
One of my most painful situations is when I need to add a bluetooth headphones on my Windows 10 tablet. In a Mac just takes one click from the Bluetooth menu, but in my Windows tablet seems like a thousand clicks, visiting panel and more. You can do everything in Windows, just in a more painfully complicated and far too many more clicks.
I agree Macs do feel alien! With superpowers to make a regular person feel Super!
"This machine understand me!" It is what someone I knew told me after switching from PC to Mac. "I don't know how much time I have lost by not switching before!" she said added. "I could not believe how different they could be!". This is because playing games has never been her main concern probably. I agree not all games run on every mac (as does not all run in every Windows PC).
A friend of mine once lend my his BMW M3 to go fast around around-about (in a secure setting). And it was then, when I understood all I had read about in magazines and never quite understood: "It felt telepathic, like a perfect soft leader glove made specially for you, both car and you as one". It was a real pleasure to drive! Unlike the car I used to drive (no longer)...
My car might have been faster, have more than 20 computers and sensors (albeit also a bit cheaper), but never once it has indulge me with a sense of congratulations of how well I was doing. My car was more like: "What on earth do you think you are doing!!! Have you gone crazy?!!" whenever I drove fast. I get this feeling all the time when I use a PC: it might have more things, but at the end it is just not the same.
And while I agree most people in the world have not driven a BMW M3, it does not make this fact the M3 less better.
So yes, there is a better, more alien, more Super, more Disneyland perfect world, unknown to most, not less better just because most people don't know about it: It is called a Mac. The M3 of computers.
You can be rest assure, in this new world where knowledge of how things are is expanding, eventually, Mac share will grow, as it is already growing. It is a matter of time.
When Microsoft Edge 'failed to update' and sends you to a web page to do it manually, the web page does not let you download Edge, because you are using Edge. Even if there is an update I am supposed to download because it failed! This is what is Windows all about!
I sincerely wish Windows 11 becomes better than all Macs! By the way, in the automotive industries, before, all BMW where all faster and precise than Mercedes. But Mercedes at one point said: "Never again!" and now the are faster than BMW (just still imprecise at corners). It would be great if Microsoft said "Never again" too!

RISC-V ISA is starting to rollout on some new SoC designs.
Apple will kick start the whole industry into new era of hardware diversity.

Only people who care about Apple logo buy Mac.
Just because you use a Mac in your office doesn't mean everybody is in the same boat.
Rest of people don't want to deal with an alien handicapped ecosystem like MacOS.
At the end of the day, Windows remains the OS of choice on PC platform.
Not much you can do about it!!!

No amoun... moreLike all new good things in life, like when smartphones first came out, most people don't know about them. This is normal.
The good things about about Macs, is that people that have one, they tend in 99.999999% to get another Mac, while people with Windows, when they get to know there is a much better world, that Disneyland does exists in the PC world, they tend to never go back. So its a matter of time that everyone sees 'the light'.
People are more than 30% more productive in Macs: no forever anti-virus updates. Everything just works. Regular people can do amazing things! When there was a problem with the internet at the office, I could share my Phone's internet and share it with the Ethernet office on my Mac!!! Without any manuals or Googling!! Just go to share, share Internet, from Phone to Ethernet and Done! Try to do that with a Windows!!! Mac truly gives you Super Powers to do more, more easily.
People don't understand ARM or M1 (I like the car M1, if it had a proper Automatic Gearshift!), but will eventually understand insanely fast, cheaper for the power, long last battery life.
Mind you, I have Macs and love my PCs. Sadly enough, both my favorite PCs broke and had to buy a replacement for both!!!! (My Lenovo Yogabook c930 (SSD not found) and the most stylish, none-squarish Lenovo Windows tablet (the touchscreen)).
I have gone to many times to an Apple Store with a product out of warranty for something that was not perfect and they change it for free!! (last was my keyboard of my newest MacBook 12 i7, which I got because I love it being so light and small, less than a 920 grams!).

Even If tomorrow, the Mac becomes cheaper than Windows laptop/PC, nobody is interested in buying an OS as alien as MacOS.

No amoun... moreMajority of users have no idea how they PC work and are glad it it run browser and office. As my ex. 17" Dell i9/16/1TB on Linux to run Firefox and flash games in it. Some movies and pics. And such consumers is 50% at least. If it will be cheap and snappy they wold buy it.
Apple will just now benefit from that part of wast iOS user base that does not need run anything Windows related and are not heavy gamers.

At this moment if someone needs a computer to do the job, the MacBook Air is just the perfect computer. Who cares about Windows. It’s a buggy OS and besides all Microsoft apps run on Macs. I’m sure this new Macs will steal at least 15 % from windows and this is all it needs to set a new trend and then it will be easy to reach 30 %and more in 5 years.

In just two weeks Apple computer sales in Japan moved from the fourth place to become the top seller! Now imagine when Apple introduces an even faster M1, sales of macs will skyrocket.
