Why else do you think galaxy S21 is rumored to have garbage plastic back except on stupid expensive Ultra? No charger too? Of course they will, iPhone 12 pro is a steal with it's price. This is exactly reason why Samsung is following, their flagship now cost more than iPhone and it's not good thing. Samsung need to lower the price too and this is one way to do it. Others will follow too because phone prices can't go up anymore.

I think this would turn into such a shot to their companies head.
In my opinion, when they send charger in the box, then the idea will form in customers that other brands or speed of charging is not suitable for their handset to last as long as they expect from a flagship pricey gadget.
When the included charger for any reason fails, customers automatically will order a genuine one from the company's representative. which will turn into more spare accessories to sell.
After two loyal years of hot demand for the branded chargers and other accessories which were included in the box, customer will loosen the tie and will be attracted by other brands in different categories. As apple started the mistake: a cheap fast charger over 5w typical appleware is very welcome to those tight budget who want an apple in their handset.
For those who think owning an apple product is the sign of dignity and prestige, market will offer chargers in well-known fashion design and brands with hefty price tag which seduce the classy customer.
In between, there are mass market customers who know that charger is neither joke to obtain from any unbranded underground producers thanks to electrical risk nor something to show-off. they will freely obtain their needs from a series of already available secure, fast chargers in the market.
Now who will lose money?
the company with the most net income over the whole package if they include charger or the customer who from now on officially can use third party chargers?

Apple saw a way to profit and it worked, people will still buy stuff. So others will follow, no one will say no to additional profits, actually double profits, not including an item in the package and then user have to buy it instead.
Soon other products will come without chargers or cables? Or you name it.

Given that if other rumors and leaked specs are any indication, Samsung wants to lower the entry price of the Galaxy S21, it wouldn't surprise me if this was ALSO a way to lower the price of the device. Much of the base S21's specs scream "cost-cutting" compared to the S20, so it would also make sense to cut the charger out of the equation.
(Also, if I remember, NVIDIA did something similar with the SHIELD Tablet to cut the price by $100 5 years before Apple made not shipping the charger cool...)

Samsung should provide basic chargers free off cost for users who need them unlike apple charging for chargers separately which they put in eco friendly plastic box with useful paper work you actually can recycle ♻️ for the price of coal and gas powered industries. Mostly hypocrisy and you don't expect that from corporations as big as them.
