This is one of the best things that Google has ever done. I really hope that this is a success as Vanilla Android is often much faster and more battery efficient than the skins that manufacturers put on their phones (Sense, Touchwiz, etc).

Or in other words, when we say that the Xperia range has an LCD screen we mean the same as when you say that a tv as a LED screen as the retro illumination is done by leds.
To make it simple, in a phone the kind of retro illumination is not relevant as every LCD is illuminated by leds and not by that old method used on traditional LCD tvs so it is not relevant to differentiate between the two.

There are only 3 possible explanations for that, one is that you have a faulty Xperia S, the second explanation is that you are a complete idiot when it comes to taking pictures and although you have a great cam, you can't work it out, the third and most probable explanation is that you have no clue on what you are talking about and you don't even ever touched an Xperia S.
My friend as you said, iphone 4S as a pretty damn good camera, I know... It is the same camera as my 2011 Sony Ericsson Arc that's why it is so good ;)
I know software and picture processing algorithms are almost as important as the camera module itself but camera is the most important factor.
About SGSIII, well, you can praise him on much but not on camera... 8mpx was sony standard since X1 or X2 till 2011 and ISO 1600 as top (by the way iPhone camera is restrained to that level) is pre-historical stuff if compared with our ISO 4000 on the Arc and God knows how much on the new Xperia S

At least our Colors are TRUE rather than FAKE AND OVER SATURATED COLORS! :P

Aren't half of those features will disappear if it's vanilla Android? And Bravia Engine is a joke, same with its LCD. Even high-end Sony TVs use LED, not LCD.

I think that google is moving out from samsung due to too many court case and sales ban . Asus is a start .

These are great news. Adding the Sony Xperia S into the list of Google Nexus devices is a great move to both Google and Sony and one move that will make more happy users of the Android OS.
OS updates will more expedite available, I only see success and and growing installed base with this type of work. My congratulations to the Google Android Development Team. :-)
