More than half of WP phones worldwide are Nokias

22 August, 2012
The Finns are still second in the US but it's worth noting that they went from 0 to 28% in five months.

Who cares if Nokia only has a tiny share worldwide.
What matters is one's satisfaction with their phone. To each their own..

And how is this exactly news? I mean, Nokia took MS's money, agreed to sign an exclusivity deal with WP7 for all their smartphone line, marketed the lumias in every sort of crazy ways: gave'em away for no reason, ditched on-contract prices to $0, they just needed to do a 2-for-the-price-of-one kinda stuff to make you think they were actually selling dead fish pies.

And now it's news that the majority of WP devices are Nokia, c'mon! Getting the precise number is a curious fact but nothing more. No news at all here.

It seems to me that nokia is the only manufacturer that is focused on using extensivelly this OS. Not much of a surprise they dominate.

Model numbers and pricing of Samsung’s WP8 phones surface

"As the latest rumor has it Samsung’s upcoming Windows Phone 8-based smartphones will be the I8370 codenamed Macro and the I8750 codenamed Odyssey. We already knew the code names from a previous leak."

And "The Samsung I8570 specs sheet is basically identical to the US Galaxy S III..."

                                http://www.gsmarena.com/here_are_the_models_and_prices_of_samsungs_wp8_phones-news-4676.php

WP8 levels the playing field, note 5 months NOTE WP8 brings expansion into play plus cores.

Android came from nowhere to lead, now Nokia have an OS that can deliver despite the opposition a lot quicvker than Android

I don't know where you got the 2% figure but you need to be current.

Many like myself can not abide non expanded phone,
So take note the LUMIA 900 is about to get upgraded!

Did everyone hype up the new iOS when the second generation iPhone surfaced?
