The MI 10 being... moreThe thing that annoys me about it, is that GSM arena are basing their looser bit on the fact that the phone cost 800 pounds when the reality was it sold for much less then this.
I was pontificating for ages waiting for the thing to drop to half of the launch price, but finally pulled the trigger at 420 pounds.
At the time even the Chinese version of the Pro was selling for 600 pounds, and the pro global version if you could find one was nearer 800 pounds, so I think the mi10 is or was a bit of a bargain for essentially the same phone with a not quite so good camera.

redmi note 9 family has a lot of names ... yeah because business strategy.
if the sales of redmi note 9 dropped, they change the color, the shape, the name, add 5G, and wake it up again.
Redmi note 9 red violet color Sold Out very quickly in limited event in my country. Pretty effective 👌

Did you miss the poco f2 on purpose? Arguably the best phone at 400 euro. Flagship soc, undisturbed hdr 10 amoled panel, ufs3.1/ddr5, decent camera, headphone jack, good battery capacity and more and more...

Xiaomi has been a pure winner this year.
The MI 10 being a loser isn't justified here
Only thing to complain about that phone was slightly higher price.
Gsmarena had to literally list the Redmi Note 9 naming scheme as a loser
which proves that Xiaomi is easily the smartphone manufacturer of the Year.

Mi 10 ultra camera performance already gave tough competition to samsung,apple and Huawei. Wish they release mi 10 ultra type of phone globally too. It's really true flagship phone.

I got the MI 10 ultra for my wife from Giztop at just under 750 Euros. That is almost half the pricing of S20 Ultra.
K30 Ultra and others were also available for the same price as in China.
Giztop and some other sites don't even charge you for import fees as they ship it from European warehouses.

Also I think the 108 mpx is sufficient, only a crazy man will disagree with that considering that even apple has in its 1500$ pro max only 2.5x zoom
And the 108mpx is extremly good at zoom no need for 2x or 3

Xiaomi really worke themselves this year, my honourable mentions are the Redmi K30 Ultra and the Redmi 10X sereis. The Mi 10 Ultra was a hit and would have unarguably been one of the best phones for 2020 if was launhed globaly, nut yet still makes waves around the world. Just hope Mi 11 series keeps the spirit up and yeah they launh a mini devixe with a small form fator. Well done Xiaomi, Smartphone manufaturer of the year.

No excuse. Brands should make two different sizes with same features, maybe just different screen resolution for smaller one.
These non-pro phones are ridiculous.
For example. You have smartphone A with 6.6" QHD and 4800 mAh.
A smaller 6,0" FHD + 4000mAh would be already cheaper.
Smaller screen = cheaper
Lower res screen = cheaper
Smaller battery = cheaper
Smaller body = less external materials
All this would be enouh to make phone cheaper. No need to to reap any camera, screen refresh rate, different charging etc ..

I think you have completely missed the point of the mi10.
Not everyone wants or needs a flagship camera, and having compared the two, I'm not convinced that the extra 50% in cost is worth it.
