Your analogy is incorrect though, you should have said if they sold you a car without tires, because the tires from your old car can be used perfectly fine on the new car.

Neo, 28 Dec 2020better buy a 7T/7T pro ,the last great op devices7T last good phone from OnePlus. I may think about a S20FE if Sammy doesn't cripple future versions because it is too popular an cuts into S20 flagship sales.

Oneplus has becoming more greedy, greedy, each release. Charging more premium price with fewer, fewer features and called them premium device. And babbling about how superior their os is compared to heavier skinned os, please even custom roms come very close to oxygen os. Sound familiar? Yeah, it sounds like Nokia, another loser who charges more for inferior and fewer features than others while defending themselves as premium device.

Periscope zoom (125mm and above) are only for wildlife/sports photography. Not my genre.
I prefer the focal length between 50-90mm telephoto zoom. An improved quality on that FL is needed.

I wish OP would ditch those useless extra lenses and just put it the best single main lens that exists and just use some form of gcam as software.

This is a mode that restrict portion of sensor used. Quality of photo is not affected. And ypu need to use APSC lens to take advantage.
Quality of photos from S20 after using zoom is heavily impacted.
Results are indeed worse than the 8MP camera of 20FE.
It is like using a 7MP camera and stay close of subject.
Without this 64MP, only Ultra would have 8K.
Then ppl would make scandal and say Samsung did on purpose to "force " ppl to buy Ultra.
