Now Apple can sell ice to Eskimo and they will still be convinced to buy it. Apple buyers can thank the onslaught of Android devices as competition cos it brings about progress in technology. Else i believe Apple will still sit easy on their single core and less than 1Ghz processor and simply let their marketing team do the selling.

Finally the verdict... samsung officially now as equal As chinese company. Who always copy others design and change it names from iphone to iSam.? Lol... goodluck to galaxy user cause u might not recieve anymore update due to your device officially a pirates units...

The US justice system is rigged by big companies. This verdict is nothing but corporate protectionism. We should all boycott Apple products. I know I am certainly going to.

in my opinion , if apple could give another turn to gadgets world , they wouldn't need to sue anybody. i think they're running out of ideas , and have nothing new to produce , so they're suing anyone who copied them. and it's a weak stance for apple , cause after this , i lost my faith in apple , and i might not be into apple stuffs anymore , but might change to microsoft and windows phones again.

these just proved how childish and shallow american patenting and judicial system is. its all about money. it seems like this kind of values are being promoted by apple(not the lame excuse of originality,because apple is a copycat too..dropdown notification?)

To me, to copy something is to make a duplicate of an original, as in a photocopier, yet I know I can tell the difference between an Iphone, Galaxy, LG etc etc.
So is a VW Jetta a copy of a BMW 7 series, which is a copy of a Ford Focus saloon et al.

Apple you can only win in US... AS everyone knows 70 percent of your phones sells only in US. You treasury is bigger than the US TRASURY.. That's the reason for even the US GOVERNEMT SUPPORTS YOU.. IF Us people starts realizing that the phone is just a expensive shit.. Then that day you gonna seriously think that innovating is better than suing others for patents. I am sure you will no longer survive in the upcoming years. Please stop supplying components to this rotten fruit company.

This is a shallow and pointless case that has only been a waste of time and money. The time and money that have been spent on this could have been utilized to help people who are not even capable of buying food, let alone mobile phones!
This is as stupid as filing a case against other people who wash their hands the same as one does - wet your hands, put soap, scrub a bit and rinse. Then, those who wash their hands the same way should pay a fee for copyright issues.
This is just my personal opinion. =)

But the news I heard in Korea has a different story. Both Samsung and Apple are forbidden to sell and forced to remove some products from the Korean market. My news also mentioned that Apple will have to remove iPad, iPad2, iPhone 3GS while Samsung will only have Galaxy S2 removed.

Only 3 days to decide on a rectangular shape with rounded corners.. (which should never have been patented anyway)
Makes you wonder how on earth a "lay" jury could decide on the complexities relating to the use of 3G technology.... (something that somebody actually had to think about to make it work)

Samsung copied iPad look because they had to hurry to get their tablet into market, there wasnt time to think how it looks. Copying started right away after Apple announced iPad.
And now they pay big money for that :D
Guys look the new archos tablets they look very good and nothing like iPad, copysam should look too ;)
