Of course, SAMSUNG is their biggest competitor. They don't care for other companies that, as they say, copied their design. So much for "it is not about patent and money, it is about the value". Funny.

Samsung shouldnt have used the rounded squares. They should have just left the app icons alone. it would solve patent problems and speed up the update process of samsung phones. But its COMPLETELY stupid how apple won because of rounded squares. Apple stole also. But they stole from sony, xerox and lg. and those companies arent suing anyone. apple is mad that they are losing. Its very obvious but apple won because of the high support rate in the US. Its amazing that people can LOVE a company. I love my android but i dont love google. nor do i buy every product they produce. I have a lot of google products. but only the good ones. i dont have the nexus Q. that is crap

Justice is served!
Well done Apple! I hope Nokia will sue Samsung soon and make them pay. Samsung is the worst company ever and they deserve to lose this case for blatantly copying Apple.
Samsung has now lost its credibility and will forever be viewed as a copyist with no originality.
HTC and Motorola will soon have to pay Apple, too. I hope they lose their cases soon.
I hate these garbage Android OEMs.

Samsung copied, yes. But so did apple. I completely understand the evidence was there, but plain and simply (and without the need for evidence), Apple's patent claims are obvious and inevitable designs. Naturally a phone would have to be rectangular to fit in one's pocket. A spherical phone would make no sense at all.
While I do appreciate that Apple brought consumer electronics into a whole new level of coolness, they should not fault other companies so severely for a practice they also do - copy.
The popularity, for example, of square icons could be traced way back to the graphical icons in Windows when Microsoft first released it.
True, Samsung could have done more to make their product look a bit more different, but the level of patent legalese Apple went to fend off the competition was way too much. Sad to say, the patent system allows for this kind of behavior.

hahahahahah this was well deserved to samsung, one of the most OVER rated companies in the industries. And the funny thing is Nokia, Sony, Motorola, HTC, and BB alllllll have phones that look Completely different, but samsung some how claims that their phones are rectangles with rounded corners. The icon comparison was done as well, and android but apple like crazy!.... im not an apple fan, but i hate android ever since i use the nexus galaxy.
samsung is like a ford with a ferrari badge... mad over rated.. and all they do is come up with 12 phones based on the same model. all garbage.

I am not a fan for both phones (motofan) but then looking at the resemblance and prototypes of sammy phones it is a very uncanny copy of the iphone.

Its funny very funny apple patented the rectangular shape with rounded corners why samsung sue apple of using black or white cellphone or make it patented the size of 5 inches in below so that other manufacturer will create a phone the size of a brick if that's the case.

Apple just won in U.S because U.S is their homeland.
Apple has lost the same case 24/Aug in South Korea. South Korea court said that Samsung has not copied Apple 's design due to there is limitation of designing Touch scree phone PLUS there was similar design even before iPhone which is LG PRADA.
