They ban Chinese apps saying that it is a national security concern now is this not a global security concern? To deceitful get over a billion people on your platform and then suddenly ask them to share their data or leave.

Mark Zuckerberg was genius, now he is a looser. WhatsApp copied from blackberry messager, it's a carma, bbm closed because lost competitor WhatsApp, WhatsApp will the same will closed too, WhatsApp+FB+ads. There are better alternative application, like telegram. If mark Zuckerberg can still think smart, WhatsApp is just WhatsApp, no need FB & Instagram.

This is not acceptable as we all know Facebook is not capable to keep our data safe. We'd seen some incidents in past to keep that in mind.

This is what happens when a previous standalone app is bought by another much larger company: the app either disappears or gets weakened to the point where users of that app will eventually leave. Time to find another chat app such as Signal or similar. Little wonder why calls are growing for FB or Google to divest their previously acquired apps.

This is a good thing now ads can be pushed making user experience better to read interest based ads and buy more stuff.
