Kuo: Don't expect significant camera upgrade on iPhones until 2023

This may be one of the few times Kuo is wrong. The pattern since 2014 has been: new design - 'S' year - camera year. 6, 6s, 7. Then X, XS, 11 Pro. I think the camera upgrade will be in 2022.

Anonymous, 09 Jan 2021You C*rapple Fanboy, have you ever heard of Huawei Mate 40 ... moreTwQ, i think you currently own most pathetic droidboy status. You even went to 12 Pro Max section to troll. Seriosly why?
As a really butthurt and salty droidboy. Can you explain to me why you are so obsessed and bitter about Apple?
I mean you wrote this there ” This Phone is trash. No 90/120Hz Display, no Fast Charging, no cooling system and no customization freedom (iOS). For that money, i would get a OnePlus 8 Pro, Oppo Find X2 Pro, Poco F2 Pro or Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro.”
It wasn’t even answer to anyone? You just felt urge to go there and write this useless post? From now on i will use you as an explample how sad and comical you droidboys really are :D

Answer is none.
Android market has foldables, Lamborghini, porche, special editions sold by the company itself above 2000$.
That is the REAL premium segment, not your best selling 800$ cheap iPhone 12 with ancient Hardware and software

Of course, that makes perfect business sense.
Why make significant upgrades every year when you can sell the same phone with very minor upgrades at higher prices to your brainless followers who have more money than sense?

AnonD-972548, 09 Jan 2021Then were is the logic? You are praising something you do n... moreBecause this will be the first time I'm even going to use a phone for more than 2 years. Androids I always sort of got rid of them because I stopped getting updates and I absolutely hated that crap. Now I have XR for 2 and a half years and still getting updates. It's still fast and I don't see a need to buy new one. See, 5 years of timely updates does matter.

They are only waiting Apple articles to show their bitterness. How they don’t understand that what they do is really comical and they are laughing stocks in here."
But they do though I guess you're just not there. Since you always bash android on every apple article or defend it.
"This is propably reason why these droidboys are so butthurt, they see how badly Android high end phone sells and they just can’t deal with it :D"
But high end sales are just fine though. Midrange and flagships sell just fine this year. Is that a problem??
"It’s getting more comical all the time because Apple is doing better and better while competition can’t keep up and that’s why they end up mostly selling cheap low end phones"
Yep thats clearly a fanboy comment but the competition is keeping up though????

[deleted post]Again you are making dumb comments on this website again. First it was. "Most people here own low end androids." To now "Most people own fake iphones" Are you serious???
Like another guy said. Im pretty sure most android users on this website don't own a low end android. Maybe they own a midrange or a lower midrange or a high end flagship. So stop it dude. I can just say the same to apple fanboys also.

AnonD-972548, 09 Jan 2021Then were is the logic? You are praising something you do n... more” You pay much more premium price on the basis that you will use that phone 5 years. But change it after 2.”
You also get premium resell price for your old device.
” Unsurprisingly, it's the Apple iPhones that lose value the slowest – 43% on average after the first year, and 61% after the second year. Samsung is in second place, with its handsets dropping in value 64% on average after 12 months and 76% after 24 months.”
Samsung phones lose more value in one year than what iPhones in two years. So while we pay premium we also get more when we want to upgrade. Basicly lot more than what we paid for premium. And nowdays that’s not even case anymore. Samsung phones are more expensive.

What's the point in having a 5 years software update if the tech iphone geeks, in the majority of times, change their phones once per 2-3 years. Exactly like Android ones. But at much higher prices.
That is the real problem. You pay much more premium price on the basis that you will use that phone 5 years. But change it after 2. Like majority of Android users. You get my picture?
And regarding the universal software update for iphones compared to Android phones. Yes, here you might have a point. But still not a valid one. Because Android phones (even though are slower than iphones in receiving updates), they are not near as bad as you said. Maybe 3-4 months waiting. Even less for some models. My One Plus 8T came with Android 11 out of the box since October 2020.
But nowadays (like a small info), is not that important the Android incremental update (like 9, 10, 11, etc., done by Google), but the skin on top of Android. And those skins (done by each company) get updated on time and regularly with new features.

Like somenone said that the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the Camera King, LMFAO i think he never heard of Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Oppo Find X2 Pro, vivo X50 Pro+ and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. Those 3 are far MORE ADVANCED than that overthrottling iToy. I'm exited, how the Camera of the vivo X60 Pro+ will perform in front of iToy, because it would completely destroy the entire iToy 12 Series in terms of Camera and Performance.

People keep their phones longer and longer, average is now 3 years. Also it doesn’t mean you need to use it for 5 years. It’s very easy to resell a phone which is still fully supported, it also means better price for it. One reason why iPhone resell price is so high and why so many wants used iPhone.
I’m now fourth year with my iPad Pro. Just last fall got big OS update and lot of new stuff. I’m still going to upgrade this year just because i want better one, but it’s going to be very easy to sell this because it runs newest OS and works just great.

AnonD-972548, 09 Jan 2021I know people that are still using S7 Edge today. My best f... moreThe fact you don't need to care about it? I can change phone after just 1 year or after 5 years. Where with Android phones, this limitation constantly lingers there. I may change it after 1 year or have an outdated OS after 2, 3 at best. And people say "uh oh but you still get security updates". It's not even about that. When Apple releases some new feature, all users get it, be it just some new app, new menu design, new whatever. It's only very phone specific things that are only found in certain phones that have capabilities for that. And just the fact how updates are delivered. On iPhone, if you see the news about new update, you can get it THIS moment. When you hear news about new Android version, it takes months for vendors to even adopt it. And then often months to deliver them to the phone you actually have. I found this so incredibly infuriating on all Android phones. Maybe regular users don't care as they get the update when they get it and even then they keep canceling and postponing them. But I as a tech freak, I always adopt things immediately. Be it any Windows update or any iOS update. I never wait for it to "become stable" or wait for whatever reason. Which is why I do care about this thing a lot.

AnonD-804996, 09 Jan 2021I can safely say most iPhone users are not iPhone users bec... moreI know people that are still using S7 Edge today. My best friend has a S8+ from day one. The phone works very good even today (except the battery of course). And that display and design is very good even for today standards.
And I know users who have S9 phones that received Security Patch from December 2020.
But, you need to open your eyes and see. If you automatically think that all Android phones are bad and do not offer long term support, then of course you think that only iphones tend to offer this kind of things.
My father uses a P10 Lite (3.5 years old device). Except the battery, the phone works almost like day one and he still receives small software updates from Huawei from time to time. And we are talking low end Android phone here.
All iphone users are praising the 5 years software support from Apple. But I wonder how many iphone users had only 2 iphones in the last 10 years? Lol.
