Secondly, some businesses have messaged me themselves even though I didn't show interest.
Does that count as an "interaction"? I think it does because when a business messages me, and data is shifted to FB, my number alongwith all details goes too, right?
How is Mr. Prasad making this sound like its just a joke?

to those genius who selected telegram over whatsapp i should say i use both and telegram is completely open source with zero encryption at all ! yes you heard it. it's totally programmable with bots and totally open to anything. only when 2 ppl use secret chat there will encryption and no other time. in terms of security whatsapp beats telegram by Miles .
and btw who is Signal's daddy? where did it come from? what's the company or person behind it. no one knows. how great let's trust it with closed eyes and closed minds!

I use LINE, it is secure, encrypted and it has very good quality video calling better than What's app anyway. The stickers and animations are always fun and it how they make money by selling the stickers so need to sell data plus it is not American, Russian, or Chinese.

The author misses the point here. Were you paid to write this?
1. Why does the EU not allow this change for EU citizens?
2. FB already had our pants around our knees from a privacy perspective. Now they want them around our ankles, so to speak. It is the straw that broke the camel's back, simply put.
3. Timing. This comes was Twitter, FB and Google all started political censorship. Unfortunate for the Zuck, but relevant.
4. While I am a long time Telegram user myself, and with all due respect to them and Signal, we are all still using keyboard apps provided by Google, Microsoft, and Apple etc. Also by some really dodgy companies. What is encryption worth when your text is shared even before it is encrypted by the app?
We badly need a secure, open source keyboard app next.
I could go on about how they harvest metadata from photos and claim to not access your geolocation because they don't get the data firsthand directly from your GPS, and various other legal loopholes they exploit, but that would take all day.

What does this mean? Does it mean that as soon as you have once interacted with a Business Account, all your data (except for the encrypted part) is fair game to be shared with FB? Based on what is written here, that could very well be. Given that you seldom know if you interact with such Business Account, all of your precious data might already be compromised...

Losers are always in the same wagon "Your confusion"
Facebook forced us to obey their rules and worship what they offer.
People One by one are switch to technically struggling "Signal".
Signal upgrading too fast to meet huge migration of users needs.
Now Facebook in terms of WhatsApp, sees what sharp fall which tends to free fall to concrete means.
Struggling to collect the population who they themselves scatter away.

And Facebook is lying. If the policy is not changing why do you have to agree to it? Telegram is a better messaging app anyway, you can customize it more like change the color or chat bubbles.
