But honestly, I don't have enough information to make a conclusion. You know how it is, everyone presents their narrative.
Is it Google's fault, if people use google Chrome and view Google ads, instead of the news ads? Not really. People chose the browser.
But also, who pays attention to ads? They are just a nuisance there!

Look I think that Google should pay taxes in the market it is in as well and I'm sure this is a drop in the ocean if they consider that android is in Australia and I doubt they pay taxes to the ATO on consumer purchases

Whatever the Chinese can do, they cannot get away with the x86-32/64 instruction set that belongs to Intel/AMD that most of the consumer app runs are. ARM may just fall under nVidia, which when it does, making it a US. company. (Despite is also debatable, just because there's the Apple's M1 does necessary mean it would takeover) So the real viable option is Open RISC-V... And run what? BSD and custom Arch-distro? Let even say China do have the telnet pool (debatable really), how long will it take to build the entire eco-pool? The scale is much larger than the average thinks, and not to mention, they need to innovate while catching up - which is even harder and more cash burning.
Oh, why do you think the Chinese government mirror the entire Github last year and is claiming trying to build a new one? Because Github is owned by Microsoft (again US.) and just because it open-source, it does not mean free to abuse without a license - which many, especially China think that how it goes.

BUT NOW, every country is seeing a possibility of security risk, loss of income, etc.
China is happy that their income and outcome from tech companies are just revolving around China itself.

Enterprises will always want to sell you their products but if the local laws and bans don't allow it... You'll have to do business with the allowed ones. The ideal trade world should have equity and a fair play. But we live in a world where each one try to have the upper hand always if possible... and only the balance is reached when both have similar power, profits and are agree to open the market and relax its taxes or even remove them.
