Whose idea was it to refer to this as 'periscope'? A periscope is:
"an apparatus consisting of a tube attached to a set of mirrors or prisms, by which an observer (typically in a submerged submarine or behind a high obstacle) can see things that are otherwise out of sight."
When applied to a phone, a periscope would be a pop up camera, not a 'telescopic lens'.

Dont understand this kind of periscope hype. Its a small sensor anyway.
Unless one into a specific photography style (sports, wildlife). I rather take a good quality bigger sensor at x3 (80-90mm) with Super Res algorithm in between FL from 1x to 3x (U'll get quality x2 (50mm) as well. All these periscope is an excuse to increase price anyway.
Camera aside, what happen to the last Oneplus design prototype? The one with the orange leather ascend, with those cool built-in ND filters? This 9 series design looks yawnnnnnn. 🥴

Oneplus or oppo is the same . They goes behind competition now. For me it's a mid phones not a flag ship anymore . Samsung raise the bar and let see
