I'm fans xperia before.but now I'm switch to another phone.after I try huawei P series,mate series and oppo find x 2pro, I only know have more phone can better then xperia.

did everyone here miss the point that this is a camera accessory for pros ? this isnt for "muh flagship" owners. if anything the price tag is to deter those who buy 1500$ phones as social media machines. keeps stock for the right people while others can look at the consumer products. yes its expensive, but if its really a tool for those cameras costing 200k+ then it better be worth it for those who buy it. i doubt anyone here has any business being near this phone

Or rather put 3k display with 1500nits. It's an 2500$ device afterall.
Brightness levels on that phone aren't good enough in daytime for professionals to really make good use of it.

As you may aware, professional equipment isn't cheap at all, and it could cost them above 7000+ USD or even more, and their salaries are higher than average. For those targeted customers Sony approaching, for them, this is a bargain. This is due no other devices could have the same functionality as Xperia Pro, at least for now, and with this option, the professionals could save a bunch of expenses just using this device. Because of the nature of the phone itself, it's only targeted to a very niche market, and considering Sony Xperia is now moving to a niche market, this isn't a surprise, though, I did admit, the price is something beyond the world as a normal user.

My point is never to claim that this product is overpriced or too niche, but that the difference between this and Xperia 1 II is so little that the extra features it has could've been relatively easily included in the Xperia 1 II to save the development cost.
