Sony Xperia 10 II gets Android 11 update

I have recently switched from iPhone to android and bought a Xperia 5 ii, but you know, I hardly shoot 20 photos with my phone in past 10 years. What a waste, all I want from a phone is reliability and sharp screen. iPhone and to be more specific IOS is so good with it, but since Apple is getting more and more greedy year after another. I have kind of felt that I am not a iPhone user, but a iSheep user, if you know what I mean.
Paying the highest price to buy a flagship which has less futures than a middle range Samsung, Sony or even Oppo phones.

    Even if you type Xperia unboxing on YouTube, and pay attention while they show the phone box, it’s so easy to see clearly.
    For sure they have been designed in Japan but assembled in Thailand to keep the labour cost and therefore the final price as low as possible. Like what Apple do in China.

                          The "South Korea cost" is lower than "Japan costs". Everything in Japan is expensive.

                          Samsung Mobile sells 90x more devices and makes N times more money. They have much more conditions to support phones much longer.
                          The last xperia midrange with longer support was M2 (I think from 4.2 to 5.1).

                          A51 4G was announced for more than 400 euros. With plastic back, gorilla 3 on screen.

                          Be sure Samsung phones have way more profit margins than xperia.


                          Why do you think so many companies in Japan are not what they used to be?
                          Like Hitachi, Sharp, Toshiba and even Panasonic.
                          They are not able to offer products for similar prices compared to foreign companies, especially chinese.

                            Sony removed screen recorder when they made X/XZ series.
                            All previous phones T, C, Z, M and E series had.
                            Only now is back.

                                  Anonymous, 27 Jan 2021This phone has a plastic frame...Not all aluminum frames are equal, not by a long shot. Recycled grade aluminum goes on affordable phones. Also not all Gorilla Glass coatings are same, cheaper phones like 10II have less coating compared to flagships (Samsung was always skimping on the backplate coating for some reason).

                                    A71 and rest of the A series have horrible OLED screens, subpar quality, it shifts to blue and yellow on slightest tilt.
                                    Camera on both 10II and A71 is garbage but more than enough for average user.
