How can it win manufacturer of the Year?

Xiaomi on the other hand, increased their shipments by 17% according to IDC and 19% according to Canalys & Counterpoint (only company to be in double digits this year) rest are in negative mostly. They had record profits as well.

This is why Xiaomi winning manufacturer of the Year in 2020 shouldn't surprise most people.

That might have been case many years ago because hardware wasn't that powerful, but lot of new features came.

"And you get less for more money"

You saying this without ever owning iPhone sounds little bit silly. You can't really understand why iPhone is so popular if you haven't owned and used one.

Few things always stop me from buying an iPhone. Having an iPhone doesn't feel like it is your phone but feels like you are renting it from Apple. You are a prisoner and you don't have that freedom which android gives you. Also no extra features and functions. Battery life isn't good but battery lifespan is much worse. You need to replace your battery so often. And it will become slower after each update. Yes it has advantages too like cool design and good camera but you should get what you pay for. And you get less for more money.

Come on guys, it's not a di.k competition, some like Apple, some Android and so what.
Buy what you like best... That's it.

Some like the mother, other likes the daughter, nothing wrong with this.

"Samsung was second in terms of shipments for the period with 73.9 million units sold for the quarter and a 6.2% yearly growth as it saw continued growth in the entry and mid-range segment across all major markets."

              They sold 69.5 million in Q4 in 2019 and 73.9 in Q4 in 2020

So their shipments increased it wasnt less, and the fact people are liking your comments is amazing even though you clearly wrong

Let 2021 finish and we see who wins that

Samsung been winning for the last 7-9 years no one has beaten Samsung for the whole year

In last two years iPhone userbase grew 200 million, that’s whole lot of Android switchers! Looks like people are waking up and more and more want iPhone. There is also reason why this is happening and lot more people going to own iPhone in the future. It’s the teens who want iPhone and when they are adult they still have iPhone because they are hooked to ecosystem. In long run this means really big share of smartphone sales for iPhone. No wonder they expect record iPhone sales for this whole year.
