First Sony Xperia 1 III renders show a periscope camera, slimmer bezels

28 January 2021
The design is otherwise unchanged - all flat sides and 90° angles. Sony will keep the 3.5 mm jack and microSD slot that we enjoyed on the Mark II.

Seems like flagship of the year! Normal size, equipped with useful stuff that others now omit and I hope for the best camera of the market, at least same as the 1 II which is still unmatched! Please SONY make it broadly available and normally priced!

So sad Sony's been pulling out from Indonesia. Can no longer own Xperia phones "easily".

        Very nice looking phone indeed.
        Very interested.

          Nothing special.
          Competitors did it first.

I think the bigger lense is the primal: a 50mp sensor capable of 30fps and 120af/ae. But not only principal got bigger, it seems that even tof increases it's size lol

Professional landscape photographers take photos at different exposures and stack them together in their computers. If this is not HDR photography, then what is it?

I really don't understand how Sony are camera pioneers and make all these sensors for different phones, but still can't have the worst cameras out there...

                    I like the design though.

Much faster fps on physical buttons, so wise choice there.! Slimmer bezels means less protection. Bad choice.

Sony Forever, 29 Jan 2021Sony🌹that's what I call a perfect phone ❤️No matter how perfect the phone, if it takes almost half a year between official announcement and availability, no one is going to care.

it will be interesting how many of these new features will be carried to 5III. i mean periscope, thinner bezels... i prefer the 5 for the smaller size. my only gripe with the xperia's is the poor phone network connectivity. it seems the designers considered using them only in urban setting with good coverage, as if you travel to a reasonably remote area, well, you are out of connection....
