I find it hard to believe that this sort of technology doesnt carry a potential health risk. Our bodies are mostly made of water and we conduct electricity and send signals through our nervous system, so this raises some serious considerations.

So that actually means constant power consumption? Electricity must be cheap there.

It's definitely promising tech. Once it's perfected and proven safe, it should open up a whole new ecosystem of smart devices for the home and beyond.

Isn't this kind of technology is somewhat harmful?

Also I'm wondering from which company Xiaomi copied this hmmmmmm.

But with the ever evolving unreliable sources of news it's hard to justify just about everything.

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2021Pretty sure I seen something like this years ago from a sci... moreLinus from Linus Tech Tips showcased this once in one of his videos. But that one was using focused beam of some sort iirc (not sure which type of signal it was) which required unobstructed path from emitter to the device. Which is why ceiling mount was prefered as it's least likely to get obstructed that way.
