Exynos 2100 is a big step up from 990, still behind Snapdragon 888

02 February 2021
But the difference between the two 2021 chipsets is negligible.

Buried lede: the 865 beats both 2021 flagship chips in performance per Watt.

S20 FE 5G remains the best Samsung phone available in Europe at any price.

Anonymous, 02 Feb 2021Je$u$... not that shady closed source Speed Test G bullsh*t... moreSo do you want a compromised benchmark test? There’s a reason why he does not give benchmarks to anyone so it doesn’t become manipulated.

Exynos 2100 was rumoured to score 800k in Antutu and guess what...scores 640k later on and that’s minus thermal throttling.

Several Mediatek devices also benchmark cheated in Antutu. Antutu themselves did not detect the cheating, it was reviewers such as from XDA and Android Authority.

Geekbench is also not reliable as it only tests CPU.

Jealous A14 can score so fast in Speed Test G and with almost no throttling? Actually A13 did pretty bad with much throttling (-15% throttling) and lost to some SD865 phones.

As usual, if iPhone loses then they say the test is fair, but if it wins then the test is biased. Nice joke 👏

their 5nm isn't that different from their 7nm so their transistor density isn't that improved compared to tsmc but their technology is superior and it will make up for the density gap and give the edge to Samsung actually or make them atleast neck to neck

it's not just transistor density and for the rec apple only uses 133 million transistor per mm2 on their a14 and its just like Samsungs but i understand that and samsung knows that two and they are pretty smart about it and you will see how they will overcome tsmc. Samsung’s early introduction of GAAFET will be similar to Intel’s FinFET at 22nm, as the latter was comparable in density to TSMC’s planar 28nm. While Samsung won’t hold a density advantage, it will still be ahead of TSMC by up to three years in introducing this technology in the market. In any case, Samsung already announced in 2019 it is intending to invest over $100 billion this decade to catch up to TSMC.

eveb the sd888 is samsung's fabrication and let me tell you something about 3nm you will find everywhere

TSMC and Samsung are taking different approaches to 3nm. The former is using the FinFET transistors for 3nm. The FinFET design helps control the flow of current and voltage in a circuit. Samsung is prepared to leave FinFET for MBCFET (Multi-Bridge-Channel FET, multi-bridge-channel field effect tube) technology. Compared to the current 7nm chips employed at this very moment, Samsung's 3nm chip will provide a 35% performance boost with 50% less energy consumption. MBCFET uses a new technology called Gate All Around (GAA) which makes transistors smaller and more powerful. According to one consultant, "Samsung is ahead of TSMC in GAA by probably 12 months. Intel is probably two to three years behind Samsung." Ryan Lee, Vice President, Foundry Marketing at Samsung said, "Gate all around will mark a new era of our foundry business."

im really concerned about samsung cuz they have all the resources and the experience and the team for a great design yet it seems like huawei have succeeded for 3 years now design wise and optimization as well
it sucks to see them actually loosing in all these categories but i have high hopes that this is because of their focus on their 2 years partnership and work on their graphics and i think it will help boost the performance since that is what's lacking on this particular exynos 2100 but my concern is will they ever improve their lousy optimization and release a phone that's fully baked and ready for anything to face
i really hate the word wait for a software update to optimize or to improve like wtf release something ready fully like the rest of the competition or don't even bother right !

running full load benchmarks for extended periods, or running the highest resource sucking game possible for comparisons is just not how most people use their phones.
