Exynos 2100 is a big step up from 990, still behind Snapdragon 888

But the difference between the two 2021 chipsets is negligible.

So Kirin seems to be most efficient of them? Yeah, sure, it misses X! core but nowadays even mid range chipsets do more than average user needs. A lot more.

But which one is the true throttling king? *spoiler* they both did really bad job

Quite pathetic that US banned Huawei.

2019-20 Kirin SoC's 810/820 were superior to 765G,as is the case with Kirin 9000,A14 currently.

If your intention is just for regular use then this chipset should be more than enough with surprisingly good battery efficiency. Push it harder and it will throttle quickly. I read up a Notebookcheck review of the S21 Ultra and the TDP exceeds 10W, that’s way too much. 3DMark score is like 60% but it may not be under optimal conditions (wait for TechTablets review). Also check Gary Explains (Speed Test G) and the Exynos performs significantly worse compared to SD but there is a small possibility for a driver issue.

Overall a bit dissapointed with the Exynos 2100 though. Still better than 990 so Samsung is going into the right direction.

So instead of that, can we just say that the Exynos 990 was sooo bad in comparison to SD865 that Exynos 2100 "looks" better now ?
Just sayin', saw both chipsets' launch live(+other vids) and was "influenced" to say this.

Yet in a lot of countries we are paying more for the exynos than the 888
Samsung should go down with the likes of lg and htc

What should matter here? I would say performance per watt? As battery is a weak link and performance is very good for a flagship anyway?

Even with the older Cortex-A77, Kirin performs better due to TSMC's 5nm.
If the SD 888 was manufactured using TSMC's 5nm instead of Samsung, the Exynos is nowhere near to the latest dragon.

yeah snapdragon 888 is still the best.
But exynos 2100 finally good at HD graphic games and also battery power consumption.
I saw it from some tech reviewers.

I was so confused reading this article, literally as if someone posted it without reading before what they wrote. So high majority is using phones for browser, social media and Netflix on go. In this scenario Samsung exynos is using more power to run the phone so in the end you again are getting less screen time over snapdragon version. Flagships nowadays are so powerful that if you not into games, they will keep your experience fluid and strong for years. But with that exynos will be worse on day to day tasks, as they mentioned 26% less efficient in total. How is this not clear? I'm waiting for videos comparing battery usage just to confirm this...

For whatever reasons, Exynos 2100 is able to give much better performance and stability in power saving mode but it consumes way more battery despite power saving mode being turned on.

Snapdragon 888 on the other hand, gives slightly improved stability and much needed power savings but decreased performance which means power saving mode is working as it should be.

I suspect A14 chip inside IPhone is running in power saving modes all the time to prevent overheating and reducing battery usage.
